LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN) announced the appointment of Donald R. Peck as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Peck was most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Satcon Technology Corporation. Prior to that, he held the same positions at Egenera, Inc. and The First Marblehead Corporation.
The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) hired Subramanian (Kris) Krishnan as its chief financial officer, replacing Gordy Bryan, who worked at NMDP for 20 years. Krishnan most recently worked as CFO at Minnetonka-based Digi International Inc. (NASDAQ: DGII), which develops machine-to-machine networking products.Prior to working at Digi, Krishnan spent 13 years as director of corporate financial planning, reporting and taxes at The Valspar Corp. in Minneapolis.
NBCUniversal announced that Christine Dorfler, vice president of finance for WNBC New York, has been named chief financial officer of the NBC Owned Television Stations. Dorfler has worked at NBCUniversal for nearly a decade, most recently at the group’s NBC and Telemundo stations in New York. Previously, she was director of finance for NBCUniversal’s Digital Media Group and the director of programming finance for USA Network and SyFy. A United States Army veteran who served four years as a military intelligence officer in Europe, Dorfler supported peacekeeping operations in both Bosnia and Albania.
Silvergate Bank announced the promotion of Karen Brassfield to the position of executive vice president and chief banking officer from her position as chief financial and administrative officer. Previously, she was an executive at San Diego National Bank. Silvergate also has hired Luke Schock as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He previously has worked at Pacific Western Bank and Community National Bank.
Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSPD) announced that Stephen N. Ananias will assume the role of senior vice president and chief financial officer of the company. Ananias joins the company from Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM), where he served for more than 11 years in various finance positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as controller, Broadband Communications Group.
Newpark Resources, Inc. (NYSE: NR) announced that James E. Braun, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has informed the Board of Directors that he intends to leave the Company on October 31, 2011. The Company has announced that its current Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, Gregg Piontek, age 41, will be promoted to Vice President and CFO effective November 1, 2011, as Mr. Braun’s successor. Prior to joining Newpark, Mr. Piontek was Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Stewart & Stevenson LLC from 2006 to 2007. From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Piontek held the positions of Assistant Corporate Controller and Division Controller for Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Piontek served in various financials roles at General Electric and CNH Global N.V.
Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) announced the appointment of Martin E. Welch III as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Welch replaces William G. Quigley III, who is leaving Visteon on Oct. 31. Most recently Welch was executive vice president and chief financial officer for United Rentals, Inc., serving on its executive leadership team from 2005 to 2009. He also served as chairman of the audit committee for Delphi Corporation from 2006 to 2009. Earlier in his career, Welch served as chief financial officer at both Kmart Corporation and Federal-Mogul Corporation and held various financial positions at Chrysler Corporation.
Actifio™ announced that John Pearce has joined as chief financial officer (CFO). Pearce most recently served as the president and CEO of Demandware, a global leader in on-demand ecommerce. Prior to Demandware, Pearce served as CFO at AppIQ, where he was on the executive team that created a market leader in Storage Resource Management (SRM) software, and was acquired by HP in 2005. He also co-founded SilverStream Software and served as its CFO, vice president of international operations, and senior vice president of worldwide sales. Previously, as the CFO and vice president of international business at Watermark Software, Pearce grew the business through its acquisition by FileNet Corporation in 1995.
Mercedes-Benz USA Chief Executive Ernst Lieb has stepped down, and has been replaced on an interim basis by Herbert Werner, CFO and vice president of Finance, Controlling & IT.
Avangate announced the addition of Jim Emerich as Chief Financial Officer. Emerich joins Avangate from a CFO position at Appirio Inc. Prior to Appirio, he was CFO at MuleSoft. Emerich has also held multiple executive finance positions, including over six years at Salesforce.com, including being Chief Accounting Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer, VP Treasury & Tax and SVP Internal Audit.
Wine.com announced the addition of Kenton D. Chow as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Wine.com, he was the Chief Financial Officer at a number of high technology companies in Silicon Valley, including Aurora Networks, Catena Networks and Cobalt Networks. He also held senior financial management positions at Sun Microsystems, Symantec, Bay Networks and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Tecumseh Products Company (NASDAQ — TECUA, TECUB) announced that Janice E. Stipp has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer. Stipp was Chief Financial Officer at various private equity firms since 2007. Prior to 2007, Stipp spent over 20 years in the automotive industry in various financial roles.
TechMediaNetwork, Inc. (TMN) announced the appointment of Randy Bambrough as the company’s new CFO. Bambrough was CFO of NextGNetworks from May 2008 through March 2010. Prior CFO experience also includes six years at InterVideo Inc., and a year at ViewGraphics Inc. Bambrough was also a co-founder of Decide.com, a telecommunications portal website.
SolarCity announced the appointment of Bob Kelly as its chief financial officer. Kelly held a variety of financial management roles during his 14-year tenure at independent power producer Calpine, culminating with four years as chief financial officer and executive vice president. Following his time at Calpine, Kelly provided financial advice to retail energy providers and power developers. He most recently served as chief financial officer of Calera.
Centerre Healthcare Corp. has named Thomas Chadwick as its new CFO. Previously, Chadwick was CFO of Surgery Center Holdings Inc. and HealthPlan Holdings Inc. Chadwick has also held the Chief Financial Officer position for Provox Technologies, Inc. and the SVP and CFO position for Misys Healthcare Systems.
Thermadyne Holdings Corporation announced that Steven A. Schumm, the Company’s Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, has stepped down.
JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) announced the resignation of Ed Barnes, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Barnes joined JetBlue in 2006 as Vice President, Cost Management and Financial Analysis, and was promoted to CFO in 2008. Mark Powers, Treasurer, will serve the company as CFO effective immediately for an interim period as the company conducts a search for a new CFO. Mr. Powers joined JetBlue in 2006 as Treasurer and Vice President Corporate Finance. He was promoted to Senior Vice President Treasurer in 2007.
Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast announced the appointment of Charles G. Alvarez as Chief Financial Officer. Alvarez most recently held the Vice President/Chief Financial Officer position with Alien Technology Corporation.
BIOLASE Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLTI) announced that Chief Financial Officer Frederick D. Furry has been appointed to Chief Operating Officer. Furry will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer and reports directly to Chief Executive Officer Federico Pignatelli. Furry joined BIOLASE as Chief Financial Officer in November 2010.
IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT) announced that Bill Pereira, currently IDT’s CFO, will take over as CEO of IDT Telecom. In addition, Marcelo Fischer, CFO of IDT Telecom will also become Senior Vice-President of Finance of IDT Corporation, serving as its certifying Principal Financial Officer.
Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc. (OTCBB: BEAC) announced that Scott Fitzpatrick, previously Beacon’s Corporate Controller, was promoted to Vice President Corporate Controller and Treasurer, and is Beacon’s Principal Financial Officer. Beacon also promoted Greg Guilford to Vice President Financial Planning & Reporting from Director of Financial Reporting. Concurrent with these promotions, Beacon also announced Michael Grendi has resigned as Chief Financial Officer to pursue other opportunities.
Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS) announced that Joseph Lombardi, Chief Financial Officer, has resigned from his current position, but will remain a non-officer employee until mid-2012 to assist in the transition as the company undertakes an executive search for a new CFO. The company also announced the appointment of Allen Lindstrom, Vice President, Corporate Controller, to interim CFO until a replacement is named. Mr. Lindstrom joined Barnes & Noble, Inc. in November 2007, as Vice President and Corporate Controller. He is also Principal Accounting Officer of the company. Prior to joining Barnes & Noble, Mr. Lindstrom was Chief Financial Officer at Liberty Travel.
DataBank Holdings Inc. announced the hiring of Kevin Ooley, who is joining the company as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining DataBank in 2011, Mr. Ooley served as CFO of Thompson Media Group. Prior to Thompson, Mr. Ooley served as Principal at Lovett Miller & Co., a growth capital private equity firm based in Florida. He was also a Director of Strategy for iXL Enterprises and a Manager in Accenture’s Strategic Services practice.
Electromed, Inc. (AMEX: ELMD) announced the appointment of Jeremy Brock to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his appointment as the Company’s Financial Controller in August 2011, Mr. Brock spent five years with the CPA firm LarsonAllen LLP. Mr. Brock brings additional management and leadership experience, from his time serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2002.
IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: IPCM) announced a management transition as part of its Chief Financial Officer succession plan. Effective November 1, 2011, Richard H. Kline will join IPC as its Chief Financial Officer and the Company’s long-time CFO, Devra G. Shapiro will become its Chief Administrative Officer. From 2007 until March 2011, Mr. Kline served first as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and later as President and Chief Operating Officer of Castle & Cooke, Inc. From 1991 to 2007, Mr. Kline was with Ernst and Young, LLP, serving most recently as Partner of the Assurance and Advisory Business Services group in the Los Angeles office.
WaferGen Biosystems, Inc. (OTCBB: WGBS) announced that Alnoor Shivji will step aside as WaferGen’s Chief Executive Officer and President effective immediately, and will continue to serve as WaferGen’s Chairman of the Board. Until a permanent replacement Chief Executive Officer is appointed, a new Office of the President has been formed to assume the primary executive officer functions, and will consist of Mona Chadha, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Secretary, and Donald Huffman, Chief Financial Officer.
Renasant Corporation (NASDAQ: RNST) announced that Kevin Chapman has been elected Chief Financial Officer for Renasant Corporation and Renasant Bank. Chapman joins current Renasant Chief Financial Officer Stuart Johnson as dual Chief Financial Officers of the Corporation and Bank. Johnson will maintain his primary responsibilities of overseeing corporate governance, profitability analysis and internal accounting. Chapman has been an Executive Vice President for the Company since January, 2011 and Corporate Controller of the Company since May, 2006. He has served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Renasant Bank since January, 2011. Chapman will continue in these roles while serving as Chief Financial Officer. In his new role, Chapman will continue to be responsible for corporate strategy, external financial reporting, forecasting and planning. Both Johnson and Chapman will assist in investor relations and oversee various administrative accounting and financial duties.
CPX Interactive announced the appointment of Michael Fleischman, current EVP of Operations, as Chief Financial Officer. Michael is an accomplished financial professional with over 25 years experience in various key corporate finance and strategic planning roles at Cablevision Systems Corporation and its programming subsidiary, Rainbow Media Holdings.
