Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE:PRU) named Robert Falzon as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding the retiring Rich Carbone. Falzon was appointed senior vice president and treasurer of Prudential, in 2009. Taking the position of CAO and CFO of Prudential’s International Businesses is John Hanrahan, who since January 2010 has served as president and CEO of The Prudential Life Insurance Company, Ltd.
BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK) announced that Gary S. Shedlin, a long-time strategic and financial advisor to BlackRock, will join the Firm as Senior Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Shedlin will succeed Ann Marie Petach, who is joining BlackRock Solutions as Senior Managing Director in the Client Solutions business. Mr. Shedlin will join the Firm on March 11, 2013 and work closely with Ms. Petach through a transition period until she completes her tenure as CFO following the reporting of BlackRock’s first quarter earnings results. Mr. Shedlin will assume the role of CFO at that time. Mr. Shedlin joins BlackRock from Morgan Stanley, where he is Vice Chairman, Investment Banking and a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Shedlin has spent more than 25 years advising companies in the financial services sector including as Chairman of the Financial Institutions Group at Citigroup and Managing Director and Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard.
BASi (Bioanalytical Systems, Inc.) (NASDAQ: BASI) announced that Jacqueline Lemke has been named President and CEO, with continuing responsibility as CFO. Ms. Lemke also has been appointed to BASi’s Board of Directors. She had served as Interim President and CEO since July 2012, and was named CFO in April 2012. Prior to joining BASi, she was Vice President of Finance and Global CFO of Remy, Inc., a $900 million division of Remy International. Earlier, she served as Vice President of Finance, Global CFO Connected Home Solutions at Motorola, Inc., and was Strategic Planning Director, Global Invista division at DuPont.
The Warnaco Group, Inc. (NYSE: PVH) announced that upon its recent merger, Lawrence R. Rutkowski has resigned as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The company’s new CFO is Michael A. Shaffer. Mr. Shaffer has been employed by PVH since 1990. Mr. Schaffer served as Senior Vice President, Retail Operations immediately prior to being named Executive Vice President, Finance in 2005. Mr. Shaffer was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in March 2006 and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating & Financial Officer in February 2012.
MeetMe, Inc. (NYSE MKT: MEET) announced that David Clark will be joining the company as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Clark has been the Chief Financial Officer for Nutrisystem, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRI). Previously, Clark was the Chief Financial Officer for Claymont Steel. Prior to that, he co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of SunCom Wireless, Inc. (formerly Triton PCS). He also co-founded and served as Chief Financial Officer of Triton Cellular Partners until its sale in 2000. Clark will succeed Michael Matte as Chief Financial Officer.
Nutrisystem (NASDAQ: NTRI) announced that David Clark, Chief Financial Officer, will depart the company after the fourth quarter earnings release in early March 2013 to join a publicly-traded company as its Chief Financial Officer. Kathleen Simone, the company’s Controller for more than 15 years, will serve as Acting Chief Financial Officer if Mr. Clark’s replacement is not appointed before his departure.
Finalsite announced that it has hired Jim Calabrese as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer for NetKey. Previously, Mr. Calabrese spent eight years as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer for Vertafore.
MedConnections announced the appointment of Kevin Woodard as President. Prior to joining MedConnections, Mr. Woodard was Chief Financial Officer of Avivia Health from Kaiser Permanente. Mr. Woodard previous experience also includes co-founding Sterling HAS. Mr. Woodard also served as Vice President of Strategic Planning with Health Net. His technical background includes managing health economic departments for Prudential Health Care and Kaiser Permanente as well as experience as a CFO for an acute care hospital.
Parker Drilling (NYSE: PKD) announced the departure of W. Kirk Brassfield, senior vice president and chief financial officer to be effective April 30, 2013.
EBI Consulting announced that Dan Tollman has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration, and Chief Financial Officer. Tollman comes to EBI Consulting from an ENR Top 300 Firm. During his 15 year career at this multi-state buildings performance firm, Tollman served as Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and most recently as President & Co-Managing Partner.
Universal Business Payment Solutions Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: UBPS) announced the appointment of Gregory M. Krzemien as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Most recently, Mr. Krzemien served for 13 years as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Mace Security International, Inc.. Prior to that, Mr. Krzemien served for seven years as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Eastern Environmental Services, Inc.
Squatty Potty has tapped Devin Brady to become its new chief financial officer. Prior to joining Squatty Potty, Brady was the owner and principal of Devin Brady, CPA, PLLC. Brady also served as CFO at Suh’dutsing Technologies’ family of companies. He also served as a senior accountant at HintonBurdick CPAs and Advisors.
Kroll Advisory Solutions has named Garth Williams as its Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Williams was a VP and Assistant Controller, International with American Tower Corporation. Williams joined American Tower in 2010 as VP, Assistant Treasurer and served as VP, Investor Relations before taking on his international duties. Prior to American Tower, Williams held Executive Director positions at both JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley within their Securitized Products and Investment Banking divisions.
Merchant Warehouse announced that Ammar Afif has been hired as CFO. Before Merchant Warehouse, Afif served in a dual-role as CFO and COO at NaviNet. Prior to NaviNet, Afif served as CFO for Kantar Media (US) Pronto Networks, Inc. and started his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Coraid announced that Stewart Grierson has been named chief financial officer and senior vice president of operations. Prior to joining Coraid, Grierson served as CFO of leading security firm ArcSight, Inc. Prior to ArcSight, he served as vice president and corporate controller at ONI Systems Corp. Grierson currently serves on the board of Ruckus Wireless.
The Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac) (NYSE: AGM and AGM.A) announced the appointment of R. Dale Lynch as Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Farmer Mac. Mr. Lynch succeeds Timothy L. Buzby, who was appointed as Farmer Mac’s President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2012 and continued to serve in his prior role of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer during the interim period before Mr. Lynch’s appointment. Prior to his appointment at Farmer Mac, Mr. Lynch worked as Vice President of Finance at U.S. Silica Holdings, Inc. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President of Finance of Allied Capital Corporation from 2004 to 2010. From 1989 to 2004, Mr. Lynch held various investment banking and analyst positions with Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank, and Merrill Lynch.
Appia announced the addition of Tim Oakley as Appia’s new Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Tim served as the CFO of iContact. Prior to iContact, he was the CFO of CipherTrust and CFO for OpenSite Technologies. He has also held various executive positions with Broadband Technologies, MCI (now Verizon) and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC).
Tapjoy, Inc. elected Warren C. Jenson as a Director. Jenson is currently CFO and Executive Vice President at Acxiom Corporation, and has also been CFO of some of the most successful major companies of the last two decades, including Electronic Arts, Amazon.com and NBC. Jenson’s board position experience includes Digital Globe; California State Summer School of the Arts; and Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
BillMyParents, Inc. (OTC: BMPI) announced that Kim Petry has joined the Company. Ms. Petry will replace Jonathan Shultz. Ms. Petry was most recently CFO and Vice President, Global Commercial/Corporate Card Payment with American Express. Prior to American Express, she was Vice President of Corporate Finance, Planning and Analysis and Business Finance and Analysis with TIAA-CREF. Ms. Petry served as Managing Director of Finance at US Trust Corporation/Schwab Corporation for five years in several executive roles.
Endeavour International Corporation (NYSE: END) announced the election of Catherine ‘Cathy’ L. Stubbs to senior vice president and chief financial officer. She most recently served as the senior vice president, finance. She began her financial career with KMPG and worked at Ocean Energy and predecessor companies where she served in a number of financial management positions.
Receptos, Inc. announced that Graham Cooper has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Cooper joins the company after serving as Chief Financial Officer of Geron Corporation and Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc.
Centerstone Linen Services announced that it has named Peter A. Grandits Jr. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Since 1996, Grandits has served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AP Wagner. Prior to AP Wagner, Grandits was President and Chief Operating Officer of IPAC, Inc.
Salisbury Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAL), the holding company for Salisbury Bank and Trust Company announced that B. Ian McMahon, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Salisbury and the Bank, will resign his positions effective March 1, 2013 to pursue another career opportunity. Mr. McMahon has served as Salisbury’s and the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer since September, 2009. Richard J. Cantele, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer, will serve as Chief Financial Officer of Salisbury and the Bank on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is announced. Mr. Cantele previously served as interim Chief Financial Officer of Salisbury and the Bank from July 2009 through September 2009.
ConnectYourCare announced that Reese Feuerman will be joining the company as Chief Financial Officer. Feuerman formerly served as Vice President of Operational Finance at Constellation Energy. Prior to joining Constellation Energy, he was Vice President and Controller for XO Communications.
Tamir Biotechnology, Inc. (OTC: ACEL) appointed Joanne M. Barsa as the Chief Financial Officer and principal financial officer. Ms. Barsa has been the Chief Executive Officer of Barsa & Company since 1987.
GulfMark Offshore, Inc. (NYSE:GLF) announced that Quintin Kneen, the Chief Financial Officer, would assume the additional role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kneen has served the Company in various capacities since he joined the Company in 2008.
PediatRx, Inc. (OTC: PEDX) appointed Joseph Arcuri as director of the company. Mr. Arcuri has acted as Chief Financial Officer of GlassBox Television Inc., from April 2010 to October 2012. From April 2007 to March 2010, he was President of AOL Canada Inc. In 1999 he co-founded Bird on a Wire Networks Inc. Mr. Arcuri also served as interim Chief Financial Officer of Biosyent Inc. from September 2002 to April 2004, a life sciences technology company.
Avra Surgical Robotics, Inc. announced that Jared Stamell resigned as Chief Financial Officer. A. Christian Schauer as has replaced Mr. Stamell as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Schauer has, from 2003 to the present, Mr. Schauer has served as Chairman, President and CEO of PharmOptima LLC. Mr. Schauer currently serves as a non-executive director for Griffith Laboratories, Inc., as an advisor to The Windquest Companies and as a Trustee of the Boards at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Hope Network.
Qlik Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: QLIK) announced Bill Sorenson’s intention to resign as Chief Financial Officer for personal reasons. Mr. Sorenson plans to continue as Chief Financial Officer of QlikTech until a successor is named in order to facilitate an orderly transition of his responsibilities.
Black Diamond, Inc. (NASDAQ: BDE) appointed Aaron Kuehne to interim chief financial officer. Kuehne, the Company’s current vice president of finance, will succeed Robert Peay, who has tendered his resignation from the position to pursue personal interests. Before joining the Company in 2010, Kuehne served as the corporate controller of Certiport.
Triangle Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: TPLM) announced that Justin Bliffen, previously Executive Vice President of Corporate Finance, has been named Chief Financial Officer and Principal Financial Officer. Joseph Feiten, previously Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer, remains Principal Accounting Officer
Trilliant Exploration Corporation (OTC: TTXP) accepted the resignation of William Robert Lieberman, the President of the Company and Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Eric Radtke has been appointed President/Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
Boise Cascade Company (NYSE: BCC) announced that Richard H. Fleming was elected to the Company’s board of directors. Mr. Fleming is also a member of the Company’s audit committee. Mr. Fleming was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of USG Corporation, from 1999 until his retirement in 2012. RPX Corporation (NASDAQ: RPXC) announced the selection of Ned Segal as Chief Financial Officer, effective no later than June 1, 2013. Mr. Segal joins RPX after almost 17 years with Goldman Sachs & Co., most recently as a Managing Director, Head of Global Software Investment Banking and COO of Technology Banking. Adam Spiegel, RPX’s current CFO, is leaving the company to seek a new opportunity with an earlier stage company.
