Xerox (NYSE: XRX) announced the appointment of Kathryn Mikells as chief financial officer and an executive vice president of the corporation. Mikells is currently CFO of The ADT Corporation, a position she assumed in April 2012 following financial leadership roles at Nalco and UAL Corporation. She joins Xerox on May 2. Prior to joining ADT, Mikells was chief financial officer of Nalco. She joined Nalco in 2010 from UAL Corporation, the parent company of United Airlines, where she served as executive vice president and chief financial officer. During her 16 years with UAL, Mikells held a variety of senior leadership roles, including head of investor relations, vice president of financial planning and analysis, and treasurer. Before joining UAL, Mikells spent six years in the financial services industry at GE Capital, Household International and CIBC. Mikells serves on the board of directors for The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.
The ADT Corporation (NYSE: ADT) announced that Kathryn Mikells, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the company, effective May 2, 2013, to assume the role of chief financial officer at Xerox.
Martifer Solar USA announced that it has appointed Klaus Bernhart as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bernhart has more than 35 years of international experience in both commercial and investment banking in Europe and the U.S.
Modus announced that it appointed Stewart Curley as CFO. Stew served as an adviser to the Company for the last six months before assuming his new position. Most recently, Stew served as COO and CFO for Secure Info Corporation, which was sold to Kratos Defense and Security Solutions. Previously Curley held key positions with several high tech companies including Orbital Sciences Corp, Rivermine and POMS Corporation, which was sold to Honeywell, Inc.
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced that Pamela J. Craig has decided to step down as chief financial officer on July 1 and retire from the company on Aug. 31, 2013. David P. Rowland, senior vice president – Finance, will become chief financial officer, effective July 1, 2013. Mr. Rowland is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee and serves on the board of directors for Avanade, a joint venture of Accenture and Microsoft. Mr. Rowland began his career with Accenture in 1983.
Revance Therapeutics, Inc. announced the appointment of Lauren Silvernail as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development. Ms. Silvernail succeeds David Styka, who will transition to Senior Vice President Finance & Administration. Mrs. Silvernail was most recently the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development at ISTA Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to ISTA, Mrs. Silvernail served in various operating and corporate development positions for Allergan, most recently as Vice President of Business Development.
Minnetronix, Inc. announced today that Phil Ankeny will join the company as Chief Financial Officer. Ankeny most recently served as CFO and interim CEO of SurModics, Inc. Prior to SurModics, he held positions as CFO of Internet startup Cognicity. Ankeny’s experience also includes venture capital, having served as a partner at Sherpa Partners; investment banking at Roberston, Stephens and Morgan Stanley; and other management roles at Shiva and IBM.
Xtime announced that it has named Jim Doehrman as its new Chief Financial Officer. Doehrman joins Xtime from Gracenote, Inc. Doehrman also served as CFO of ADP’s Automotive Claims Management software division, and before that as Chief Operating and Financial Officer for Versata. He also served at the financial helm of Octane. Prior to joining Octane, Doehrman, as CFO, led a successful initial public offering for IDG Books, which leveraged his more than 15 years of prior financial and operational experience with companies such as Viacom (Simon & Schuster); Federated Department Stores and Arthur Andersen & Co.
Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced that it has hired H. MacGregor (Greg) Clarke as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Clarke most recently was CFO of AeroGrow International, Inc. in Boulder, Colo. Prior to that he was president and CEO of Ankmar, LLC, and earlier in his career held financial leadership and strategic planning roles with The Coleman Company, Inc.; PepsiCo, Inc.; and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. From 1997 to 2002, Clarke was Director of Finance for JM’s Insulation Group, followed by vice president and general manager for JM’s Building Insulation and Commercial & Industrial Insulation Divisions.
GreenBytes®, Inc. named Kevin Brown as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Brown joins GreenBytes from Filterfresh where he served as CFO. Prior to Filterfresh, Brown held positions at Surebridge, Storability, Arthur Anderson LLP, and KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP.
Moovweb announced that Tony Russo has been hired to lead the company into the next phase of growth as its new Chief Operating and Financial Officer Tony Russo. Most recently, Russo served as CFO at Efficient Frontier, a company that was acquired by Adobe last year.
ISC8 Inc. (OTC: ISCI) announced that it has appointed John Vong as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Vong most recently served as the corporate controller for Spectrum Group International, Inc. from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Finance for Clean Energy Fuels Corp. and the corporate controller for Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. As part of a planned transition, Mr. Vong will succeed Edward J. Scollins, the Company’s Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Quantum Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne R. Lorgus as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Lorgus had served as interim CFO for the company since February 2012. Prior to joining Quantum Health, Mr. Lorgus was a partner at B2B CFO. Previously he was CFO for Cordex Pharma Inc., Prestige International, AvidLearn Inc., Unidyne Corporation, and Sandberg & Sikorski Corporation. He was also a business unit manager with Campbell Soup Company earlier in his career.
General Employment Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: JOB) announced that it has appointed Andrew J. Norstrud as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Norstrud joins General Employment Enterprises, Inc. from Norco Accounting and Consulting. Prior to Norco, Mr. Norstrud served as Chief Financial Officer for Jagged Peak Inc. and Segmentz Inc.
First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF) announced that Mark E. Seaton has been named chief financial officer. Seaton began his career with First American in 2006 and until his appointment served as senior vice president of finance, will replace current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Max O. Valdes, who is retiring after 25 years with the company. Valdes will remain with the company until March 2014 to assist with the transition. Prior to joining First American, Seaton worked in private equity and in the investment banking industry.
GenoSpace, LLC announced the addition of Daniel Meyer as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Meyer covered the healthcare portfolios at Arboretum Ventures and Point Judith Capital, where he focused on investments in life science tools, medical devices, healthcare information technology and services. Prior to his work investing in early stage companies, Mr. Meyer was a member of the health care investment banking team at Credit Suisse First Boston. He was also a co-founder and the General Manager of a medical device startup from inception through prototype development.
Key Energy Services, Inc. (NYSE: KEG) announced that John Marshall Dodson has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dodson joined the Company in 2005 as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer and served in that capacity until his appointment as Vice President and Treasurer in 2009. The Company also announced that T.M. “Trey” Whichard, III has retired from the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Whichard will remain available until June 24, 2013 to provide transitional support.
Glowpoint Inc. (NYSE: GLOW) announced the appointment of David Clark as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Clark succeeds Tolga Sakman , who resigned as CFO. Mr. Clark most recently served as Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and acting CFO for Allos Therapeutics. Prior to his appointment at Allos, Mr. Clark was the CFO for an e-commerce managed services company. He began his career serving technology companies in the audit practice of Price Waterhouse LLP.
Mashable announced that Michael Kriak has become the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Kriak worked for Haymarket Media for the past ten years. He served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary. Before that, he was head of finance at RxCentric,. Kriak began his career at Arthur Andersen LLP in the technology audit practice in Boston and Pittsburgh.
ThermoGenesis Corp. (NASDAQ: KOOL) said that Dan T. Bessey has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Bessey was most recently Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of SureWest Communications. Bessey joined SureWest in 1995 and held several senior finance management positions including Director, Corporate Finance; Controller; and Vice President, Finance, before being named Chief Financial Officer in 2008.
Flash Global Logistics has appointed Gregory Castello as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Flash, Castello was Vice President, Finance at ITG Investment Research, Inc. Greg previously worked for a variety of companies including Vaultus Mobile Technologies and Zephyr Communications.
Qualis Health announced that Margaret Griffiths has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Griffiths previously was in strategic leadership positions at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and PhenoPath Laboratories.
Recorded Future has hired former AisleBuyer chief financial officer Scott Almeida as its new CFO. AisleBuyer, was acquired in April 2012 by Intuit. Almeida had served as finance and business development lead for Intuit’s QuickBase online database software following the acquisition.
OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCZ) announced the appointment of Rafael Torres as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Torres replaces Arthur Knapp who is leaving the Company to begin his retirement. Prior to joining OCZ, Torres served as CFO and Vice President of Finance for Capella Photonics. Before joining Capella, Torres was the CFO and Vice President of Finance for Power Integrations. Prior to that, Torres was CFO and Vice President of Finance for PLX Technology.
Edmund Optics announced the promotion of Jason Mulliner to Chief Financial Officer. Mulliner will be advancing from his current position as Executive Vice President of Finance to take on the new responsibilities of the CFO.
Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) announced that Lamar M. Chambers, senior vice president and chief financial officer, will retire in July. The board of directors has elected J. Kevin Willis to succeed Chambers as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective May 3, 2013. Willis joined Ashland in 1987 as an associate auditor. Among the positions he previously held were treasurer and general auditor at Ashland.
HookLogic announced the appointment of Kimberly Bambach as Chief Financial Officer. Bambach was previously with Ice.com. Earlier in her career she handled strategic planning at Comedy Central, before a 10 year stint at United Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of E.W. Scripps. Bambach set her sights on the startup world as a CFO for Vindigo, Inc. a mobile application company, XpresSpa a Spa/Retail start-up, and Jingle Networks.
Randolph Savings Bank announced that James McDonough has been elected President and CEO. He succeeds Jack Doyle who is retiring. McDonough most recently served as Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Century Bank. Prior to that he served as President and CEO of Abington Savings Bank for 12 years.
