Hydro One Limited [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Chris Lopez as Acting Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lopez was most recently the Senior Vice President of Finance at Hydro One. Mr. Lopez has 19 years of experience in the utilities industry in Canada and Australia. Before joining Hydro One in 2016, Mr. Lopez held executive roles at TransAlta Corporation.
North American Construction Group Ltd. [ACHESON, Alberta] (TSX: NOA, NYSE: NOA) announced that Jason Veenstra has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company. Jason Veenstra joins the Company from Finning International Inc. where most recently he led sales and marketing efforts for Caterpillar equipment in their Canadian mining division. Prior to Finning, Jason spent 10 years at the publicly traded Westmoreland Coal Company in various roles including CFO and Treasurer. Jason also has experience in the nickel industry with Sherritt International and the insurance industry with Forensic Investigations.
Morien Resources Corp. [HALIFAX, Nova Scotia] (TSX-V: MOX) announced the appointment of Susanne Willett as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), replacing Michael O’Keefe, who will be leaving Morien to pursue other interests. Most recently, Ms. Willett acted as a financial consultant to several Nova Scotia companies and prior to that worked for the New Brunswick Power group of companies as Business Unit CFO, Director of Financial Planning and Treasury, and Controller.
