Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ) announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Bob Ryder is leaving the company after the completion of the company’s first quarter 10-Q filing. David Klein has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Klein joined Constellation in 2004 and most recently served as CFO for the company’s Beer Division. His previous roles with Constellation include SVP, Treasurer and Controller as well as CFO for the company’s former European business. Prior to his tenure at Constellation, Klein held the CFO role at Montana Mills.
Penske Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: PAG) announced that J.D. Carlson, the company’s Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Carlson replaces David K. Jones, who has resigned from his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to accept a similar position with another company. Mr. Carlson joined Penske Automotive in 2006 as Vice President and Corporate Controller. In May 2011, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller and was named principal accounting officer.
Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICON) announced the appointment of David K. Jones as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jones joins Iconix after twelve years with Penske Automotive Group. During his tenure, Mr. Jones served as Penske’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as well as Chief Financial Officer of European Operations. Prior to Penske Automotive, Mr. Jones spent 11 years at Andersen LLP and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Philadelphia Zoo announced Matthew (Matt) Malek as its new Chief Financial Officer. Malek began his career at Arthur Andersen and has held leadership roles at Amkor Technology, FMC and most recently AGI.
Edible Arrangements International announced that Tony DiPippa has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO). DiPippa replaces former CFO George Wilson, who moves over to support Edible Arrangements founder and CEO Tariq Farid in the expansion of Edible Brands and his other ventures. DiPippa’s career includes a range of financial roles at Procter & Gamble followed by leadership positions in finance at Dun & Bradstreet. He also has served as VP of North American Finance for Godiva Chocolatier, and was CFO at WB Mason. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer for Cache.
Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation (NYSE: MIC) announced that Liam Stewart has been seconded by the Company’s manager, Macquarie Infrastructure Management (USA), to serve as chief financial officer of MIC effective June 30, 2015. Stewart succeeds Todd Weintraub who was employed by Macquarie and seconded to MIC in May of 2005. Weintraub was appointed chief financial officer of the Company in November of 2008. Stewart joined Macquarie and has worked with MIC since April of 2014 serving as asset director for MIC’s Atlantic Aviation business since that time. From 2009 through 2013 Stewart served as senior vice president and management partner at Global Tower Partners. Prior to joining Global Tower Partners, Stewart was employed by Macquarie Group with responsibility for listed media and telecommunications investments in North America.
Montgomery Street Income Securities, Inc. (NYSE: MTS) announced that it has appointed Atlantic Fund Services as the new administrator of the Fund, effective August 1, 2015. In connection with this appointment, Michael J. McKeen will become Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the Fund.
iTOK announced it has appointed Ken Saunders as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Saunders has served as a senior advisor to SaaS (“software as a service”) and early-stage technology companies. Prior to this role, he was CFO at security analytics software company Solera Networks. Saunders held senior financial positions during a 10-year tenure with the National Football League (NFL), including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of NFL Europe.
Envisia Therapeutics announced that it has named Eric Linsley as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Envisia, Mr. Linsley was a managing partner at Pappas Ventures in Durham, NC. While at Pappas Ventures, Mr. Linsley served on the Board of Panacos Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: PANC). Prior to joining Pappas Ventures in 2000, Mr. Linsley served as Chief Financial Officer of TriPath Imaging, Inc. (NASDAQ: TPTH). Mr. Linsley also worked as an investment professional with Ampersand Capital. Early in his career, he served as a management consultant with Bain & Co. and McKinsey & Co., and was a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen LLP.
The Cutwater Select Income Fund announced the election of Thomas Stabile as the Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer of the Fund, replacing Joseph Sevely in such capacities. Mr. Stabile had acted as the Fund’s Assistant Treasurer since 2010, and has been employed by the Fund’s investment adviser since May 2005.
Pitcairn announced the appointment of Eric W. Gaul as chief financial officer (CFO). Prior to his appointment as CFO, he has served in a variety of positions, most recently as managing director of Family Office Services. Earlier, he held the position of wealth management project manager.
Counsyl announced that Dan Puckett has joined the company as chief financial officer. Prior to Counsyl, Puckett served as chief financial officer for Ariosa Diagnostics, where he was responsible for leading the finance and human resources functions. Previously, Puckett also served as executive director of operations at Cerexa, a Forest Laboratories subsidiary.
Agenus Inc. (NASDAQ: AGEN) announced the appointment of C. Evan Ballantyne as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Mr. Ballantyne served as the Chief Financial Officer at Synthetic Biologics, Inc., from February 2012 to May 2015. From August 2006 to April 2011, Mr. Ballantyne served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Clinical Data, Inc. Mr. Ballantyne has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at a number of private medical technology companies, including Avedro, Inc. and ZymeQuest, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for ACNielsen Corporation – Europe Middle East & Africa, and he held the Chief Financial Officer position there as well for two years. He began his career at The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation where he held several senior financial positions.
Red Hawk Casino announced that Terry Contreras has been named Chief Financial Officer. Terry was an instrumental part of Red Hawk Casino’s opening, serving as Assistant General Manager through 2011. Terry most recently worked with the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians in Corning, Calif. He has worked in California, Oregon and Washington tribal gaming, as well as in Las Vegas, Nev.
Quinnipiac University announced that Mark Varholak, associate vice president for budget and financial planning, has been promoted to vice president for finance/chief financial officer. The promotion will take effect July 1, 2015. For the past two years, Varholak has served as associate vice president for budget and financial planning. Prior to that, he served for more than 10 years as an assistant controller on the finance team. Before joining Quinnipiac, Varholak served for almost 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Deloitte & Touche and GE Capital, culminating in his final role at GE Capital as a manager of finance.
Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARNA) announced that Robert E. Hoffman, Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, has decided to leave the company after nearly 18 years of service to pursue another opportunity in the biotechnology industry. Mr. Hoffman is expected to remain in his current role at Arena until July 10, 2015.
Velocity Technology Solutions, Inc. named Marc Vassanelli as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Vassanelli was engaged by Carlyle, Hellman & Friedman, and TowerBrook to advise on potential acquisitions of business services technology companies. Before these advisory roles, Marc was Chief Financial Officer for ConvergeOne Holdings; Equiniti Group; and for the EMEA region of Marsh Inc. (NYSE: MMC).
Twist Bioscience announced the appointment of Solange Glaize, former corporate controller and chief accounting officer for Agilent Technologies, to the newly created position of chief financial officer. Prior to her role at Agilent, Ms. Glaize served as the life sciences group (LSG) operational CFO and also headed the LSG’s business development organization. She joined Agilent with the spinoff from Hewlett-Packard and served as managing director of European financial services in Brussels, Belgium. She transferred in 2001 to the Bay Area and subsequently held several finance controller roles, including commercial controller of the semi-conductor products group and manufacturing controller for the life sciences and chemical analysis group. Ms. Glaize began her career with Hewlett Packard, where she held a variety of escalating finance and managerial roles both in Europe and the United States.
Compass Minerals (NYSE: CMP) announced that Lori Walker has been elected to its board of directors. She will serve on the board’s audit and compensation committees. Walker is the former chief financial officer and senior vice president of The Valspar Corporation. She retired from Valspar in 2013 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Southwire, and Constellium. Prior to joining Valspar, Walker worked at Honeywell, Inc., for 20 years in progressively increasing roles of responsibility. Her last role at Honeywell was the director of global financial risk management.
Bovie Medical Corporation (NYSE: BVX) announced that Peter Donato, Chief Financial Officer, will leave the company on or about June 25, 2015 to take a position in his home state of Ohio. Jay Ewers, Corporate Controller, has been appointed interim CFO effective upon Mr. Donato’s departure.
Tiptree Financial Inc. (NASDAQ: TIPT) announced that Sandra E. Bell will join the Company as Chief Financial Officer, effective July 1, 2015. Most recently, Ms. Bell served as Chief Financial Officer of Prospect Mortgage, LLC. Prior to joining Prospect, from 2008 to 2011, Ms. Bell served as Chief Financial Officer of PHH Corporation. Prior to PHH, Ms. Bell served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. Prior to assuming her position at the Federal Home Loan Bank, Ms. Bell had been a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, where she had been employed for 13 years.
Leidos Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: LDOS) announced that the board of directors has appointed James C. Reagan as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 6, 2015. Since 2012, Reagan served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Vencore, Inc. (formerly The SI Organization, Inc.)
Webcor Builders announced the hiring of Matthew Reece as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reece began his career in the construction industry in 2000 as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration with URS Corporation. In 2010, he took over as CFO at Weeks Marine.
Roku Inc. announced that Steve Louden will join the company as Chief Financial Officer. Louden joins Roku® from Expedia, Inc. where he serves as Treasurer. Before Expedia Louden also held finance, strategy and planning roles at Washington Mutual, McKinsey and Company and The Walt Disney Company.
ZS Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZSPH) announced the appointment of Jeffrey Farrow as chief financial officer. Mr. Farrow previously served as the chief financial officer of Hyperion Therapeutics, Inc., from July 2010 until May 2015. Prior to Hyperion, Mr. Farrow was vice president, finance at Evotec AG. Prior to Evotec, Mr. Farrow held various positions, with the most recent being vice president, finance and chief accounting officer, at Renovis, Inc. Previously, Mr. Farrowheld various positions over his seven years in the audit practice of KPMG LLP. With the transition of the Company’s CFO position from Texas to the Bay Area, Todd Creech has decided to leave ZS Pharma and pursue other opportunities.
Standard Pacific Corp. (NYSE: SPF) and The Ryland Group, Inc. (NYSE: RYL) jointly announced that following the approved a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Standard Pacific and Ryland will combine in a merger of equals to create a single company. Current Standard Pacific Chief Financial Officer, Jeff McCall, will serve in this role for the combined company. Current Ryland Chief Financial Officer Gordon Milne will retire in connection with the transaction, after assisting with the integration of the two companies.
VersionOne announced that it has added Chief Financial Officer Verome Johnston to its leadership team. Verome most recently served as interim CFO of Bomgar after TA Associates’ acquisition of the company. He also previously served as CFO of GoodCents Holdings from 2008 to 2014 and CFO of CDC Corporation and CDC Software from 2005 to 2007. Before joining CDC, Verome was corporate controller and then vice president and CFO of Ross Systems from 1998 until 2005. Verome began his career at Deloitte.
Webtrends announced the hiring of Mike Laber as Chief Financial Officer. Mike will be joining the team in mid-July. In the meantime, Brian Agle will continue his role as interim CFO and then assist Mike during his transition. Mike joins Webtrends from Qorvo, a company formed by the merger of RF Micro Devices and TriQuint, where he has worked for the last six years as Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller. Prior to that, Mike was Vice President of Finance at Harland Financial Solutions.
