Libbey Inc. [TOLEDO, Ohio] (NYSE MKT: LBY) announced the appointment of James C. (Jim) Burmeister to the position of vice president, chief financial officer. Mr. Burmeister joins Libbey from The Anderson’s, Inc., where he served as vice president, finance and treasurer. Prior to joining The Andersons, Inc., he held roles of increasing responsibility in operations finance with Owens Corning, beginning in 2005 as director, finance of Owens Corning’s cultured stone business and culminating in his role from 2013-2014 as vice president, finance of Owens Corning’s roofing and asphalt division. Earlier in his career, Mr. Burmeister served in a variety of roles with General Electric.
Swift Energy Company [HOUSTON] (OTC: SWTF) announced the appointment of Gleeson Van Riet as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Van Riet succeeds Alton Heckaman, the Company’s current Chief Financial Officer, who previously announced his retirement. Van Riet was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Sanchez Energy Corporation where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility from April 2013 to March 2016. Mr. Van Riet previously worked as an investment banker with Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in London and Los Angeles.
5W Public Relations [NEW YORK] announced that John Ferrari has joined the agency as Senior Vice President of Finance. Previously, Ferrari served as Chief Financial Officer at Hunter Public Relations. Prior to joining Hunter, Ferrari was Senior Vice President of Finance at MWW Group, and spent over fourteen years as a member of its financial team.
Teforia Company [MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA] announced the appointment of Frank Lucero as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Lucero served as vice president of finance and operations for Livescribe Inc. Prior to that, Lucero held various positions at notable companies, including Intel, Ernst & Young, and Cisco.
B&G Foods, Inc. [PARSIPPANY, N.J.] (NYSE: BGS) announced that Thomas P. Crimmins, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, has resigned. The Company has initiated a search for a new Chief Financial Officer and until one is appointed, Amy Chiovari, currently the Company’s Corporate Controller, will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer.
VaaS International Holdings, Inc. [FORT WORTH, Texas] has added David E. Janek as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Janek has held positions as CFO, VP & Corporate Controller, VP & Treasurer and other financial leadership roles at companies such as Federal Signal Corporation and The Heico Companies, LLC. Most recently he was President of Broadwind Energy, Inc.’s gearing business, and previously a Group President of Federal Signal Corporation.
Genstar Capital [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the promotion of Melissa Dickerson to CFO and Managing Director, Operations. Ms. Dickerson joined Genstar in 2004 as the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director, Operations. Prior to joining Genstar, she was the Controller of American Industrial Partners. Prior to AIP, Ms. Dickerson worked at Deloitte as a Senior Accountant.
The Allen Institute [SEATTLE] announced that Marjorie Thomas, currently Chief Financial Officer at RealNetworks, will join the Institute’s executive team as CFO. Thomas joined RealNetworks in 2015 as CFO and Treasurer. Prior to joining RealNetworks Thomas held senior financial positions at Intuit, Sony Electronics and Hewlett Packard.
Frontline Education [MALVERN, Pa.] has added Paula Olson to its leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Frontline this January, Olson spent nine years as managing director and head of education technology and services, investment banking at Wells Fargo Securities. Olson’s other experience includes serving as vice president in consumer and retail investment banking at Banc of America Securities and working in an accounting role at Bank of Boston. Olson has also spent time as a Peace Corps volunteer, devoting her time with the Corps in Zimbabwe to business development projects.
First Sound Bank [SEATTLE] (OTCBB: FSWA) announced that Geri Bullard has joined the bank as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Bullard, who began her banking career as a credit analyst in 1994, comes to First Sound Bank after serving as a controller and chief financial officer for community banks in Washington, Idaho and California. She also has served as a bank examiner for the State of Idaho.
Seegrid [PITTSBURGH] announced it has appointed Steven Barto as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Barto was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ITC Global. Prior to ITC Global, Barto was Senior Vice President, General Manager, and Chief Financial Officer of Vocollect. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of BPL Global, Ltd., and previously held executive financial leadership positions at Ericsson, Marconi, and RELTEC. Barto is also a CPA who began his career and worked through Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse.
iPic Entertainment [BOCA RATON, Fla.] announced the appointment of Paul Westra as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Westra joins iPic after spending over 20 years as a sell-side analyst covering the restaurant industry, including mostly recently at Stifel Financial. Since 2013, Paul has been a Managing Director at Stifel Financial.
Interface, Inc. [ATLANTA] (NASDAQ: TILE) announced the appointment of Bruce Hausmann as its new Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Hausmann joins Interface from Aramark Corporation, where he served for the past eight years, most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Aramark’s Uniform and Refreshment Services business units. Prior to joining Aramark, he served for seven years at The Walt Disney Company, most recently as Vice President and Segment Controller for the Interactive Media Group.
Calabrio [MINNEAPOLIS, MN] has hired Jenny Kray to serve as Chief Financial Officer. Kray previously served as VP-Finance, Corporate Controller at SPS Commerce. Prior to her role at SPS, she was CFO at Network Instruments.
Deluxe Corporation [ST. PAUL, Minn.] (NYSE: DLX) announced the appointment of Keith A. Bush as Chief Financial Officer. Bush takes over for Edward Merritt, who held the position on an interim basis since September, 2016. Bush joins the Deluxe executive team from American Airlines, where he most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Finance. Bush has worked in the airline industry since 1995, when he joined then Northwest Airlines. He has held varied roles with increasing responsibilities in treasury and financial planning and analysis for Northwest, Delta, US Airways, and American Airlines.
PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. [BLAIRSVILLE, Pa.] announced the recent appointment of James M. Bargerstock as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining PHOENIX, he most recently served as Vice President of Accounting and Administration/Chief Financial Officer for SinterMet, LLC.
RiceBran Technologies [SCOTTSDALE, Arizona] (NASDAQ: RIBT; RIBTW) announced the appointment of Brent Rystrom to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining RiceBran Technologies, Mr. Rystrom served as Director of Research for Feltl & Company. Prior to that he was at Piper Jaffray. Since 1997, Mr. Rystrom has also successfully acquired and managed a large portfolio of personal agricultural real estate assets, and from 2011 through 2015, he served on the Customer Advisory Board of AgStar.
Zscaler, Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] has appointed four-time CFO Karen Blasing to its board of directors as an independent director and the chair of the board’s audit committee. Blasing currently serves on the boards of Ellie Mae, LogRhythm, and MetricStream. Blasing served as Chief Financial Officer for Guidewire Software, Inc. from July 2009 through March 2015. Ms. Blasing has also served as Chief Financial Officer for Force10 Networks, Nuance Communications, and Counterpane Internet Security. She has held senior finance roles at salesforce.com, Informix Corporation, Oracle Corporation and Syntex Pharmaceuticals.
Zinwave [DALLAS] announced that it has named Mike Russell as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining Zinwave, Mike was CFO of Future Telecom, and he was previously CFO at Continental Wireless.
InfoArmor, Inc. [SCOTTSDALE, AZ] announced the appointment of Sean Hammond as Chief Financial Officer. Hammond succeeds John Schreiber, who assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Hammond has held senior financial leadership roles within several companies including Insys Therapeutics, Medicis Pharmaceutical, XM Satellite Radio, and Pegasus Satellite Television. Prior to 2000, he was a senior financial auditor with Deloitte.
Seven Bridges [CAMBRIDGE, Mass.] announced that Mike Falvey has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Previous experience include Analysis Group, Ahura Scientific, Aspect Medical Systems, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Earlier in his career, Mike held management positions at Fidelity Investments, Digital Equipment Corporation, and General Electric.
Platform Specialty Products Corporation [West Palm Beach, Florida] announced that Sanjiv Khattri had resigned as Platform’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Platform appointed John P. Connolly as its Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Connolly has served as Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Platform since September 13, 2016. Prior to joining Platform, Mr. Connolly served as Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Xylem Inc., from October 2011 to August 2016. Prior to joining Xylem Inc., Mr. Connolly spent five years at ITT during which time he held key roles as Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Director of Accounting. Previously, Mr. Connolly spent 10 years at IBM in roles of increasing responsibility including Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, Controller of a software division, and Head of Pricing & Licensing Strategy across IBM’s software business, as well as seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP reaching the level of Manager.
Emerson Radio Corp. [Hackensack, NJ] announced that Michael Binney was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. He replaces previous CFO Andrew L. Davis. Mr. Binney has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Company since June 2016. Since November 2016, Mr. Binney has also served as an Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer of The Grande Holdings Limited (“Grande”). He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Fellow Member of the Association of Certified Public Accountants and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. From June 2016 through November 2016, Mr. Binney served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance Accounting & Company Secretarial) of Grande. From 2010 to March 2016, Mr. Binney served as an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Vinarco International Group of Companies. Mr. Binney previously served as a non-executive director of Grande from 2009 to 2010, and as an Executive Director of Grande from 2001 to 2009. He also was a member of the Board of Directors of Lafe Corporation Limited, as a non-executive director from 2009 to 2010 and as Executive Director from 2001 until 2009. Mr. Binney was a member of the Board of Directors of the Company from 2005 to 2008. Previous to the above appointments, Mr. Binney worked for over 10 years at major international accounting firms including KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Roper Technologies, Inc. [Sarasota, Florida] (NYSE: ROP) announced that Robert Crisci will become Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Crisci is currently Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations. Robert Crisci joined Roper in 2013 as Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations. Prior to joining Roper, he served in various roles across investment banking, consulting and finance. His prior experience includes positions at Morgan Keegan, VRA Partners, Devon Value Advisers and Deloitte & Touche.
Koss Corporation [Milwaukee, Wisconsin] announced that David D. Smith, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has informed the Company that he plans to retire. Mr. Smith has served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2010.
Green Bancorp, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NASDAQ: GNBC) announced the appointment of Terry Earley as Chief Financial Officer for Green Bancorp. Mr. Earley joins Green Bancorp from Yadkin Financial Corporation where he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Earley has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Bank and Rocky Mountain Capital, as CFO of Bancorp of the Southeast, LLC, and as CFO and Chief Operating Officer of RBC Bank (USA). Most recently, Mr. Earley was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Yadkin Financial Corporation.
Energy Focus, Inc. [SOLON, Ohio] (NASDAQ: EFOI) announced the appointment of Michael H. Port, the Company’s Controller and former Interim Chief Financial Officer, as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. He replaces Bradley B. White, who is retiring. Mr. Port has served as Energy Focus’s Controller since July 2015 and as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Secretary from August to December 2016. From 2010 to July 2015, Mr. Port was a consultant with Resources Global Professionals, during which time he specialized in filling roles such as Interim CFO, Controller and Director of External Reporting for industrial and manufacturing customers, including interim Controller of the Company from April to July 2015. Prior to joining Resources Global Professionals, Mr. Port held various senior level executive positions at both private and public companies, including Mork Process, Inc., Oglebay Norton Company, and Hitachi Medical Systems of America. He began his career at Ernst & Young.
LifeVantage Corporation [SALT LAKE CITY] (NASDAQ: LFVN) announced the appointment of Steven R. Fife as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Mr. Fife served from 2014 to 2016 as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Evidera, Inc. Prior to joining Evidera, Inc., Mr Fife’s experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer for publicly traded companies, including Active Power, Inc. and LECG. In addition, he served in several senior financial roles for Gilead Sciences, Amkor Technologies and JDS Uniphase.
