Trilliant announced that Steve Geiser has joined the executive team as chief financial officer. Prior to Trilliant, Geiser served as the CFO of Raza Microelectronics Inc. (“RMI”). At RMI, he was instrumental in the successful company sale to Netlogic Microsystems Inc. Geiser also held the position of CFO at Spansion Inc. Earlier in his career, Geiser held various financial leadership positions at Advanced Micro Devices Inc., including international responsibilities for the Asia Pacific region.
Rosetta Resources Inc. (NASDAQ: ROSE) announced that John E. Hagale has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Hagale previously served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of The Methodist Hospital System for eight years. He also held executive financial positions with Burlington Resources Inc. and its predecessor Burlington Northern Inc. for 15 years, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Burlington Resources Inc.
SRS Labs (NASDAQ:SRSL) announced the appointment of Walter “Chuck” McBride as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Over the past three years, McBride served as the Chief Financial Officer for Synthetic Genomics Inc. (SGI). Prior to SGI, he was CFO of Capstone Turbine. In addition to the aforementioned organizations, McBride has held CFO positions in several other public and private companies including First Consulting Group, CalComp, and Emulex.
Premier Alliance Group, Inc. (OTCBB: PIMO) announced the appointment of Larry W. Brumfield as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Brumfield is presently Managing Partner and Principal of LWB Development Group. Mr. Brumfield was Founder and Senior Partner of Strand Capital Group, LLC from 1997 to 2006. From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Brumfield was CFO of Blue Rhino Corp.
Centrify Corporation announced that it has named former McAfee and Secure Computing Corporation executive Timothy Steinkopf as its Chief Financial Officer. In this role, Mr. Steinkopf will be responsible for all aspects of corporate finance as Centrify expands its leading product portfolio, channel operations, and presence in domestic and international markets. Prior to his position as CFO of Purfresh, Mr. Steinkopf served as CFO for SumTotal Systems. Before this position, he was CFO of the network security business unit for McAfee. He came to that transitional role following McAfee’s successful acquisition of Secure Computing Corporation, where he held numerous executive-level positions over an 8-year period, including senior vice president of operations and CFO. Previously Mr. Steinkopf served as CFO and vice president of Finance for Silicon Entertainment, Inc.
EBI Consulting announced that Chris Barrile has been appointed to the position of executive vice president, Finance and Administration, and chief financial officer. Prior to joining EBI, Barrile was vice president of Supply Chain Management for EMD Millipore, a $3.5 billion life sciences company that was successfully sold to Merck KgaA in 2010. Prior to Millipore, Barrile was a senior consultant with Hoffman, Alvary and Company, LLC and a finance manager at MKE — Quantum Components, a joint venture between Quantum Corporation (now Maxtor) and MKE of Japan.
Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE: SLE) announced that it has appointed Michel M.G. Cup as executive vice president and chief financial officer of its International Beverage business. He will also serve as chief financial officer of ‘CoffeeCo’ once it is spun-off from Sara Lee Corp. in the first half of calendar 2012. Cup will start his new duties on Dec. 1, 2011. Cup, 42, joins Sara Lee from Dutch-based Provimi, a leader in international animal nutrition. He currently serves as chief financial officer and Board Member of the. Previously, he was finance director of Decorative Paint Continental Europe for AkzoNobel NV. Prior to AkzoNobel, he held multiple finance managerial positions with Royal Numico NV.
The Sanders Trust said Cathy B. Nazeer, a former chief financial officer of Brookwood Medical Center, has joined the Birmingham-based health care real estate investment company as finance chief. She previously served as director, strategic financial planning for Stonegate Realty Co. in Birmingham. Nazeer’s background in health care includes 15 years with Tenet Healthcare Corp.’s Brookwood Medical Center and as a senior financial director at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas.
Liberty Media Corporation (NASDAQ: LCAPA, LCAPB, LSTZA, LSTZB) announced that Christopher W. Shean has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Shean most recently served as Senior Vice President/Controller, and has held several executive positions in the Liberty group prior to that. Prior to joining Liberty, Mr. Shean served as a partner in the assurance practice of the accounting firm of KPMG.
Navarre Corporation (NASDAQ: NAVR) announced the retirement of J. Reid Porter, its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. The Company also announced that Diane Lapp will act as Navarre’s Interim Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Lapp was previously the Company’s Vice President of Finance and has been in various leadership positions within Navarre’s finance group since 2003.
PerfectServe announced that David Pectol has joined the company as chief financial officer. Pectol was with publicly traded National Coal Corporation from 2008 to 2011, where he was the corporate controller and responsible for all SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley management. Prior to joining National Coal Corporation, Pectol held positions as corporate controller for Knoxville-based IdleAire Technologies, and director of accounting and director of internal audit for publicly traded SBA Communications in Boca Raton, Fla.
Irvine Sensors Corporation (OTCBB: IRSN.OB) announced that John J. Stuart, Jr., the Company’s long-time Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), has resigned that position in anticipation of his retirement on December 31, 2011. Succeeding Mr. Stuart as CFO is Dan A. Regalado, who joined Irvine Sensors in September as Senior Vice President of Finance. Most recently, Mr. Regalado was Special Projects CFO of several companies, one of which was Wavien, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Metromedia Company. His prior experience included positions as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Super Vision International (now Nexxus Lighting Companies), Global Director of Accounting and Interim CFO for Faro Technologies, Inc., and CFO for North American Operations of Swank International Manufacturing Co.
SmartBear Software announced the appointment of Richard “Rip” Haak as chief financial officer. Haak served as chief financial officer for several organizations, including Enterasys Networks, Inc., a NYSE-listed, $350 million enterprise network infrastructure provider, and EqualLogic, Inc., a $130 million provider of storage area networks designed for mid-size enterprises. Haak led EqualLogic through an IPO filing process, and ultimately an acquisition by Dell for $1.375 billion.
Chromatin, Inc. announced that Henry Hirvela is joining its executive team as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Hirvela served as the CFO of TPI composites. Hirvela also served as CFO and in senior management positions with businesses in the renewable energy, high-tech manufacturing, environmental services and energy industries, including units of Republic Services and Duke Energy.
S&W Seed Company (NASDAQ: SANW) announced that Matthew K. Szot has been elected Senior Vice President and full-time Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Previously Mr. Szot served as S&W Seed’s part-time CFO under its CFO Support Services Agreement with Cardiff Partners, LLC. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Szot was a CPA and Audit Manager with the international accounting firm KPMG, in San Diego and Chicago and was responsible for audits of numerous public companies. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Szot was the chief financial officer of Rip Curl, Inc., a market leader in wetsuit and sports apparel products. Since 2007, Mr. Szot has been the chief financial officer of Cardiff Partners LLC, a financial and business advisory firm that provides executive financial services to various publicly traded and private firms.
Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SPI) (NASDAQ: SCMP) announced the appointment of Cary J. Claiborne as SPI’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Claiborne has been Sucampo’s Interim CFO since March 2011. Before his appointment in March 2011 as SPI’s Interim CFO, Mr. Claiborne had been President, CEO, and a member of the board of directors of New Generation Biofuels, Inc., of Columbia, Maryland, a publicly traded biofuel technology company, as well as its CFO. Prior to joining New Generation in 2007, Mr. Claiborne had been CFO of Osiris Therapeutics, Inc., a stem cell therapeutics company, since 2004. Mr. Claiborne began his career at General Electric Company, in 1982, and held a series of progressively more responsible positions in financial management and senior management, including President and CEO of New Enterprise Wholesale Services at GE Capital. Mr. Claiborne joined MCI Corporation where he was VP-Financial Planning & Analysis in 1997, and The Home Depot, Inc., where he was VP-Financial Planning & Analysis in 2000.
MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIPS) announced the appointment of William Slater as the company’s new vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. As previously announced, current CFO Maury Austin is retiring from the Company. Mr. Slater joins MIPS directly from his position as executive vice president and CFO of Saba Software, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed provider of enterprise software and cloud solutions. Prior to Saba Software, Mr. Slater was executive vice president and CFO at Symmetricom, a NASDAQ-listed provider of precise time and frequency technology. Before Symmetricom, Slater served as executive vice president and CFO at Computer Curriculum Corporation, an educational software publisher and division of Viacom. Slater has also served as vice president, financial planning, at Simon & Schuster, and vice president and controller, Professional Products Group, for Revlon.
HeartWare International, Inc. (NASDAQ: HTWR) announced that David McIntyre, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, plans to relocate with his family back to Australia for personal reasons and will be leaving the Company.
Clear Capital announced the appointment of Gabriel (Gabe) Nacht as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to Clear Capital, Gabe served as the Senior Vice President and CFO for Bustos Media, Meridian Project Systems and Z-Spanish Media. He also held senior positions at Phillips Publishing International and Bank of Boston.
Core Business Bank named Phyllis R. Nomura as Chief Financial Officer/Executive Vice President. She served as first vice president financial planning and analysis at Washington Mutual, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Viking Financial Services Corporation/Viking Bank, and most recently as director of finance/interim chief financial officer with 1st Security Bank of Washington.
