IMAX Corporation [NEW YORK] (NYSE: IMAX) announced the appointment of Patrick McClymont as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 8. McClymont was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Sotheby’s. Prior to Sotheby’s he was a Partner and Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he spent 15 years. McClymont succeeds Joe Sparacio, who has been assisting IMAX in the search process for several months after expressing his interest to pursue other opportunities. Sparacio will hold the position until McClymont joins in August and will stay at IMAX through November to work with him on the transition.
Ralph Lauren Corporation [NEW YORK] (NYSE: RL) announced that Jane Nielsen has been named Chief Financial Officer. Her appointment is effective September 6, 2016. Robert L. Madore will remain with Ralph Lauren through September 30, 2016 to facilitate a seamless CFO transition. Jane Nielsen has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Coach, Inc. since September 2011. Prior to joining Coach, Ms. Nielsen was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pepsi Beverages Americas and Global Nutrition Group. She held various senior financial positions at PepsiCo, Inc. from 1996 to 2011. From 1990 to 1996, she was with Marakon Associates, a global strategy consulting firm, after beginning her career in 1986 as an analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston. She serves on the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Foods Inc. where she is Chair of the Compensation Committee and Member of the Audit Committee.
Coach, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NYSE: COH) announced that the company’s Chief Financial Officer, Jane Nielsen, has advised she will be departing the company to pursue another opportunity. Andrea Resnick, Global Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications has been appointed interim CFO.
Ashland Inc. [COVINGTON, Ky.] (NYSE: ASH) announced that Mary Meixelsperger will join its wholly owned subsidiary, Valvoline Inc., as chief financial officer, effective June 20, 2016. Since May 2014, Ms. Meixelsperger has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of DSW Inc. Prior to joining DSW, she served as chief financial officer, controller and treasurer at Shopko Stores from 2005 to 2014. Before Shopko, Ms. Meixelsperger was the chief financial officer for two non-profit organizations from 1993-2004 and served as the chief financial officer for Worldmark Group, a private equity firm, from 1986-1991.
DSW Inc. [COLUMBUS, Ohio] (NYSE: DSW) announced that Mary Meixelsperger, DSW’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has resigned from the Company to pursue another opportunity. DSW has promoted Jared Poff to Senior Vice President, Finance, and Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Poff has served as Vice President of Finance, Business Development and Treasurer of DSW since January 2015. Prior to joining DSW, Mr. Poff served as Vice President, Treasurer at Big Lots, Inc. since February 2004.
Novelis, Inc. [ATLANTA] announced the appointment of Devinder Ahuja as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Ahuja will join Novelis on July 19, 2016, as Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer Designate. He will officially become Novelis’ Chief Financial Officer after the filing of the company’s first quarter 10-Q in August. Steve Pohl, currently Interim Chief Financial Officer, will be responsible for the function until that time. Prior to joining Novelis, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Alcon U.S., a subsidiary of the global healthcare company Novartis. Previous to that role, he held various financial leadership positions during his 15-year tenure with Novartis. Ahuja’s appointment coincides with the promotion of Steve Pohl, currently Interim Chief Financial Officer, to Senior Vice President, Business Performance and Execution. Prior to his appointment as Interim Chief Financial Officer in October 2015, Pohl served as the company’s Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis. He joined Novelis in 2009 as Vice President of Finance for North America and then served as Vice President, Global Business Services from 2011 to 2012. Before joining Novelis, Pohl spent 28 years with PPG Industries.
Accela [San Ramon, California] announced that Jim Burns joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Burns joins Accela from IoT / smart city leader Silver Spring Networks where he was CFO. Prior to SSNI, Burns held executive positions at Hewlett Packard for two decades, including CFO of HP’s Enterprise Business, COO of HP’s Services Business, as well as Vice President of HP’s Global Investor Relations.
Silver Spring Networks, Inc. [SAN JOSE, Calif.] (NYSE: SSNI) announced that Jim Burns, the company’s Chief Financial Officer, has resigned to accept a position with another company. Kenneth P. Gianella, Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, has been appointed as the company’s interim Chief Financial Officer effective upon Mr. Burns’ departure. Mr. Gianella, a seasoned technology and finance executive with over 20 years of experience, has been with Silver Spring Networks for over five years in various finance and operational roles.
JustFab Inc. [EL SEGUNDO, Calif.] announced that Todd Tappin will join the company as President and Chief Financial Officer, effective June 30th. Most recently, Tappin served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Rubicon Project. He was also the founding CFO of Overture. Tappin was also a Managing Director of the Gores Group, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm. Early in his career, Tappin was a senior executive 20th Century Fox (now 21st Century Fox).
Parcel Pending [IRVINE, CA] announced the appointment of Val Lyon as Chief Financial Officer. He worked previously at Far West Savings and Loan, Warmington Homes and LeasingDesk Insurance Services.
DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC or the Company) [FAIRFIELD, Ohio] announced that Robert Bosley is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces John Srsen, who is retiring. Prior to joining DDC, Robert was a Senior Vice President of Finance for Serta Simmons Bedding. Before Serta Simmons, Robert was with Procter & Gamble.
Threat Stack announced the appointment of Kevin Durkin as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Threat Stack, Durkin was CFO at DataGravity and Azuki Systems (later acquired by Ericsson). Durkin began his finance career at Deloitte where he worked for a number of high-profile companies including RSA, Cisco Systems and Salary.com.
Proxibid [OMAHA, Neb.] announced that James Hajek has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. James joins Proxibid from Corepoint Health, LLC, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Corepoint Health, James was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Operations for Pivot3 Inc.. He also served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Strategic Programs at GE Asset intelligence (GEAI), and held financial leadership positions at Terion Inc., Marconi, and CW Wireless Systems, Inc.
Interactions, LLC [FRANKLIN, Mass.] announced the appointment of Jason Bristow to its executive leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. Bristow was with Amazon.com during an intense period of growth from 2003-2014 and served as the company’s Vice President of Finance and Treasurer. Prior to his time at Amazon, Bristow spent time with General Electric in both the Corporate Headquarters in Fairfield, CT, and in Europe with the General Electric Plastics Division (now part of the SABIC group) where he served as Treasurer and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. Earlier in his career, he was with the Campbell Soup Company in a series of financial management roles. He most recently served as CFO of Code42 Software.
USA GROUPS, Inc. [SARASOTA, Fla.] announced Matthew Van Hoesen is as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and General Counsel. Van Hoesen was Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Unite Private Networks.
GuardiCore [SAN FRANCISCO and TEL AVIV, Israel] announced the appointment of Yaron Bartov as chief financial officer. Bartov joins GuardiCore after 17 years of financial and operations experience in software and technology including the last seven years at website builder Wix.com where he rose from corporate controller to VP finance and VP operations. Prior to Wix, Bartov was corporate controller at ooVoo as well as Arel Communications & Software Ltd.
Chase Pharmaceuticals Corporation [IRVINE, Calif.] announced the appointment of Scott M. Giacobello as chief financial officer. Most recently, Scott served as vice president of finance for Global Research & Development at Allergan Inc. Scott’s previous experience includes financial positions at the Black & Decker Corporation and Ernst & Young, LLP.
Ruby Tuesday, Inc. [MARYVILLE, TN] (NYSE: RT) announced the appointment of Sue Briley, Vice President of Finance, as Interim Chief Financial Officer. She has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years and has held her current position at Ruby Tuesday since July 2014. Prior to joining Ruby Tuesday, Ms. Briley was sole proprietor of Symmetry Financial Consulting. From November 2012 to July 2013, she served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Margaritaville Enterprises. Before that, Ms. Briley held several finance, accounting, and treasury positions at Darden Restaurants.
BCM One [NEW YORK] announced the appointment of Douglas Fechter as Chief Financial Officer Douglas has held executive positions at various companies including Chief Financial Officer at Bulova Corporation, SFERRA Fine Linens, LLC and Palyon Medical Corporation and Paradigm Spine, LLC.
Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) [CHICAGO] announced that it has named Eric Feldstein as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Feldstein joined HCSC in May 2016 after serving as executive vice president of American Express Company’s Enterprise Growth Group. He also held senior operating and finance positions at other Fortune 100 companies, including vice president of finance and treasurer at General Motors Corporation, CFO and CEO of GMAC Financial Services, and chairman of GMAC Insurance. Feldstein succeeds Ken Avner, SVP and chief financial officer, who announced his retirement earlier this year.
Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: OREX) announced the promotion of Jason Keyes to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Keyes joined Orexigen in 2013 and most recently served as Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining Orexigen, Keyes was Senior Director of Finance at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in 2012. Previously he worked in finance and corporate strategy at Amgen, Inc. and at Baxter Healthcare Corporation.
UnitedHealth Group [MINNETONKA, Minn.] (NYSE: UNH) announced that John Rex, formerly executive vice president, chief financial officer, Optum, has been appointed chief financial officer of UnitedHealth Group, succeeding David S. Wichmann who will now devote his full energy and attention to his duties as president of the company.
ViewRay, Inc. [CLEVELAND] announced the appointment of Ajay Bansal as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bansal will succeed David Chandler. Since 2003, Mr. Bansal has served as CFO of various life sciences companies. Most recently, he served as CFO of Onconova Therapeutics, where he led the company’s initial public offering in 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Bansal served as CFO of Complete Genomics, where he led the company’s initial public offering in 2010. Complete Genomics was acquired by BGI in 2013. Previously, Mr. Bansal was a partner at Mehta Partners, LLC.
Intercept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: ICPT) announced the appointment of Sandip Kapadia as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Kapadia will succeed Barbara Duncan effective July 1, who has served as CFO for Intercept since 2009. Mr. Kapadia joins Intercept from Sandoz, Inc., a division of Novartis AG, where he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, North America from 2014 through 2016. Prior to that, Mr. Kapadia held finance leadership roles at Novartis Pharmaceuticals in multiple European countries, including Chief Financial Officer for the UK/Ireland based in the United Kingdom, Chief Financial Officer for Northern Europe based in the Netherlands and Head of Finance for Emerging Growth Markets for the Oncology Business Unit based in Switzerland.
