AutoCanada Inc. [EDMONTON] (TSX: ACQ) announced that it has appointed Mike Borys as its Chief Financial Officer, effective August 12, 2019. Mike joins AutoCanada from PTW Energy Services, where he served as CFO since 2017. Prior to that, Mike was CFO at Newalta, from 2008 to 2016, The Brick Group Income Fund, from 2005 to 2008, and Famous Players, from 2002 to 2005. He also worked in the restaurant industry for a 10-year period and progressed to CFO of Tricon Canada, a division of Pepsico, the franchisor and operator of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell franchises.
Blackrock Gold Corp. [Vancouver] (TSX-V: BRC, OTC PINK: BKRRF) announced that Randy Minhas has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Minhas will be taking over the role from Kevin Strong who has left to pursue other opportunities. Minhas has served as Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Controller for several publicly traded companies since 2011. In addition to previously serving as CFO of Blackrock, Mr. Minhas also formerly served as Group Controller for Rye Patch Gold Corp. Prior to joining Rye Patch Gold Corp., Mr. Minhas served as the Financial Reporting and SOX specialist for Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. He currently serves as a Director for Clean Seed Capital Group Ltd. and Affinor Growers Inc.
Central Timmins Exploration Corp. [TORONTO] (TSXV: CTEC) announced the appointment of Chris Hopkins to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary and the resignation of Arvin Ramos as chief financial officer. Hopkins spent the majority of his career in senior positions with numerous publicly-listed companies, including U.S. Silver, Rio Algom Limited, BHP Billiton, Suncor Inc. and several Canadian and international junior mining companies.
