Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust [QUÉBEC CITY] (TSX: CUF.UN) announced that Heather C. Kirk has resigned as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer to pursue another opportunity. Antoine Tronquoy, who holds the position of Vice President, Capital Markets has been appointed Interim CFO. During his career, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Inovalis REIT, and prior thereto was a director of special projects at Otéra Capital and also worked at Morgan Stanley in the real estate structured finance group.
Selection Group [LAVAL, QC] announced the appointment of Heather C. Kirk as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Kirk was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Cominar, since December 2018. Prior to Cominar, she worked at BMO Capital Markets, National Bank and for an independent stockbroker. She will begin her functions at Selection Group at the beginning of June.
IPL Plastics Inc. [MONTREAL] (TSX: IPLP) announced that Chief Financial Officer, Pat Dalton, has left the Company and resigned from the Board of Directors. Alan Walsh, Chief Executive Officer, will oversee the Company’s financial responsibilities as Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Photon Control Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX: PHO) announced the appointment of Damian Towns as its Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Corporate Secretary, replacing Daniel Lee. Most recently Towns was the CFO, Corporate Secretary and Executive Director at Liberty Defense Holdings Ltd. Prior to that, he served as CFO and Corporate Secretary at Coro Mining Corp.
Falcon Gold Corp. [Vancouver] (TSXV: FG) announced the appointment of Sandey Wang to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Wang has over 25 years of public company accounting experience. Wang replaces James Farley, current Interim CFO. Mr. Farley remains as a director.
Portage Biotech Inc. [TORONTO] (CSE: PBT.U; OTC: PTGEF) announced the appointment of Allan L. Shaw to Chief Financial Officer at the Portage level and will assist in its portfolio companies as well. Most recently, Shaw was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and was Managing Director of Alvarez & Marsal LLC. Shaw’s previous experience includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Serono S.A., NewLead Holdings Ltd. and Viatel, Inc. Shaw is replacing Kam Shah as CFO.
Ignite International Brands, Ltd. [VAUGHAN, Ontario] (CSE: BILZ; OTCQX: BILZF) announced that it has hired a new Chief Financial Officer, with a proposed start date of June 8, 2020. The Company is presently unable to disclose the name of the new CFO who will be joining IGNITE. Most recently, the new CFO was the chief financial officer at public and private consumer packaged goods companies focused on the North American beverage market, although he also brings extensive knowledge of international operations, including in Europe and Asia. Edoardo (Eddie) Mattei has resigned from the Company as CFO to pursue other opportunities. In the interim, Carrie Magee, VP of Finance and Corporate Controller, will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of the CFO.
