Roots [TORONTO] (TSX: ROOT) announced that Chief Financial Officer, Jim Rudyk, has resigned to pursue an opportunity at a private, family-owned food services company. Rudyk’s last day at Roots will be August 9, 2019.
Exco Technologies Limited [MARKHAM, Ontario] (TSX: XTC) announced that Matthew Posno has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President Finance. Matthew was previously chief accountant with Exco before leaving in 2007. Since that time, Matthew has demonstrated continued leadership, providing financial advisory services at the executive level as well as holding the capacity of CFO at various firms. This appointment fills the vacancy created by the departure of Drew Knight, who is leaving Exco to pursue other interests after four years of service.
McEwen Mining Inc. [TORONTO] (NYSE: MUX, TSX: MUX) announced that Meri Verli will be joining as the new Chief Financial Officer, replacing Andrew Elinesky. Verli held several management roles in the gold mining sector, including most recently as the CFO of PPX Mining Corp since October 2017, Senior VP Finance and Treasury at Kirkland Lake Gold until July 2017 and VP Finance at Lake Shore Gold for 9 years.
Savaria Corporation [LAVAL, Quebec] (TSX: SIS) announced that, after 17 years of collaboration and loyal services, Jean-Marie Bourassa is stepping down as Chief Financial Officer effective May 22, 2019 after Savaria’s annual shareholders’ meeting and will remain as member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation. Savaria also announced the nomination of Mauro Ferrara as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation effective accordingly.
Wajax Corporation [TORONTO] (TSX: WJX) announced that Stuart Auld will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer from Darren Yawrosky. Auld joined Wajax’s senior leadership team in 2014 and was most recently the Corporation’s Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Information Systems. In addition to his new role, Mr. Auld will retain responsibility for the Corporation’s information systems. Prior to joining Wajax, Mr. Auld’s career included 30 years of senior finance experience at companies including the Hudson’s Bay Company and Canadian Tire Corporation.
Tervita Corporation [CALGARY] (TSX: TEV) announced the appointment of Rob Dawson as Executive Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development and Linda Dietsche as Chief Financial Officer, Dawson is currently Tervita’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since March of 2017. Dietsche was most recently Chief Financial Officer for Newalta and brings more than 20 years of financial experience and extensive knowledge of the waste and environmental services sectors.
ATW Tech Inc. [MONTREAL] (TSX-V: ATW) announced the appointment of Denis LP Archambault as interim Chief Financial Officer (‘CFO’) of ATW Tech. Archambault will combine his new role to his role of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the VoxTel division. The change will be effective on May 30, 2019. Archambault brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, primarily within Teleglobe and TATA Communications. Mr. Archambault has held several senior positions over the years including Vice-President for Teleglobe and TATA Communications, CFO of Excel Canada, a subsidiary of Teleglobe and interim CFO for many companies as a partner at Modelcom. Archambault will succeed Simon Bédard who has served as the Company’ CFO.
IntelGenx Technologies Corp. [SAINT LAURENT, Quebec] (TSX-V: IGX, OTCQX: IGXT) announced that it appointed André Godin to the position of President in addition to his current position as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Before joining IntelGenx in 2015, he was Interim CEO and CFO of Neptune Technologies and Bioresources Inc. He started with Neptune in 2003 as Vice President, Administration and Finance and was named its CFO in 2008. Prior to joining Neptune, he was President of a dietary supplement company and Corporate Controller for an OTC pharmaceutical products company
Tree of Knowledge International Corp. [TORONTO] (CSE: TOKI; OTC PINK: TOKIF) announced that it has appointed Spence Walker to the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Company.
Arkadia Capital Corp. [CALGARY] (TSX-V: AKC.H) announced that it has appointed Kalvie Legat as the Chief Financial Officer. Legat also is the Chief Financial Officer of eBuyNow eCommerce Ltd. Previously, he worked for 14 years in corporate finance and institutional sales. Most recently, Mr. Legat was with Integral Wealth Securities Limited, Jennings Capital Inc., and MGI Securities Inc. in their respective Calgary offices.
