The Supreme Cannabis Company, Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: FIRE, OTCQX: SPRWF) announced that the Company has appointed Nikhil Handa as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Current Chief Financial Officer, Dimitre Naoumov, will become the Company’s Vice President, Finance. Most recently Handa was the VP of Finance at Well.ca. Over the course of his career, Mr. Handa also held a variety of senior finance and operational roles at Restaurant Brands International. Additionally, he was a key member of the mergers and acquisition group of RBC Capital Markets.
Western Copper and Gold Corporation [VANCOUVER] (TSX: WRN; NYSE American: WRN) announced that Julien François, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. He will be leaving the Company effective April 30, 2019.
Major Drilling Group International Inc. [MONCTON, New Brunswick] (TSX: MDI) announced the appointment of Ian Ross as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). David Balser, current CFO, will step down from his position but will continue to serve as a senior advisor to the leadership team through a transition period. Mr. Ross joined Major Drilling in 2011 and was the Company’s Corporate Controller.
Kinross Gold Corporation [TORONTO] (TSX: K; NYSE: KGC) announced the appointment of Andrea S. Freeborough as Chief Financial Officer, effective May 1, 2019, to replace Tony S. Giardini, who will be leaving the Company by mutual agreement to pursue new opportunities. Freeborough first joined Kinross in 2009 as Vice-President, Corporate Controller. In 2013, she took on additional responsibility as Vice-President, Finance. In 2017, she took on the role of Vice-President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development.
Eguana Technologies Inc. [CALGARY] (TSX-V: EGT, OTCQB: EGTYF) announced the appointment of Sonja Kuehnle as Chief Financial Officer. As well as working in the Calgary offices of KPMG LLP, she served in several finance and accounting positions within Western Canada’s oil and gas industry. Most recently, Ms. Kuehnle worked as Financial Controller for Edmonton based Millar Western Forest Products Ltd. As previously announced, Greg Pollard, the former Interim Chief Financial Officer of Eguana, will remain with the Company to ensure a proper transition of duties and responsibilities has been completed.
