Thomson Reuters [TORONTO] (TSX/NYSE: TRI) announced that Mike Eastwood, senior vice president and head of corporate finance, will succeed Stephane Bello as current chief financial officer, effective March 15. Bello will become vice chairman of Thomson Reuters. Eastwood has worked at Thomson Reuters for more than two decades, operating as senior vice president and head of corporate finance since 2016. Eastwood was formerly chief operating officer of Thomson Reuters Latin America, CFO of the Intellectual Property & Science business (which was sold in 2016) and has also held several senior roles within the finance organization.
BC Ferries [VICTORIA] announced that Jill Sharland has been appointed to the position of Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Most recently Sharland was a CFO in the medical industry, and also has experience in the aviation and telecommunications industries. Alana Gallagher is retiring from her role as Vice President & CFO after 25 years of service.
3 Sixty Risk Solutions Ltd. [ALMONTE, Ontario] (CSE: SAFE, OTCQB: SAYFF) announced that Carlo Rigillo, Chief Financial Officer, has left the Company. Candice Matthews will assume the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) along with her current duties as Director of Finance. Ms. Matthews has served as Director of Finance for the company since 2019.
North Bud Farms Inc. [TORONTO] (CSE: NBUD, OTCQB: NOBDF) announced the appointment of Jeffrey Stoss as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Stoss is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the outsourced finance services firm, Positive Venture Group Inc. He has previously served as CFO for publicly-traded companies and technology start-ups.
Golden Star Resources Ltd. [TORONTO] (NYSE American: GSS; TSX: GSC) announced that Paul Thomson has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”).
Buffalo Coal [Toronto] (TSX-V: BUF) announced the appointment of Willie Bezuidenhout as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), with effect from 9 March 2020. Bezuidenhout previously held senior finance positions at Uranium One Inc. and the Public Investment Corporation. Bezuidenhout will take over from Graham du Preez, who acted as Buffalo Coal’s Interim CFO.
NervGen Pharma Corp. [Vancouver] (TSX-V: NGEN) (OTCQX: NGENF) announced the appointment of William (Bill) Adams to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Adams replaces Robert Pilz who will continue to formally support the Company as a consultant. Adams held a number of executive positions within biotech, including CFO roles at Anandia Laboratories Inc., Response Biomedical Corp., CellFor Inc., and AnorMED Inc.
Western Copper and Gold Corporation [VANCOUVER] (TSX: WRN; NYSE American: WRN) announced that Varun Prasad has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Prasad has worked on the Finance team for Western since 2011, previously as Corporate Controller and most recently as Interim CFO.
New Wave Esports Corp. [TORONTO] (CSE: NWES) announced that it has appointed Stan Levitt as its new Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Corporate Secretary. The Company also announces that Tiffany Lee has resigned as CFO and Corporate Secretary of the Company.
