Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust [QUEBEC CITY] (TSX: CUF.UN) announced the appointment of Heather Kirk as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Cominar effective December 3, 2018. Most recently Ms. Kirk was Managing Director Equity Research at BMO Capital Markets leading the Canadian Real Estate Equity Research team. Ms. Kirk’s prior experience includes ten years in investment banking at an independent brokerage firm and National Bank Financial where she executed on equity raises, debt financings and advisory assignments for Canadian REITs and real estate corporations. Ms. Kirk has served as a Trustee of Cominar since May of 2018, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Minto Apartments Real Estate Investment Trust. Gilles Hamel, the acting Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Cominar will be assisting Ms. Kirk through Cominar’s upcoming year-end financial period in order to facilitate an orderly transition. Ms. Kirk will be resigning as a Trustee of the REIT upon the commencement date of her term of office as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Cominar.

New Millennium Iron Corp. [CALGARY] (TSX: NML) announced the appointment of Robert P. “Bob” Boisjoli as Chief Financial Officer.  He succeeds Mark Freedman, who is now a partner at Ernst & Young LLP (EY). Mr. Boisjoli is Managing Director of Atwater Financial Group. He is the founder of two companies, sits on the boards of directors of public and private companies where he is also the audit committee chairman, and is a board member of various non-profit organizations.

TFI International Inc. [MONTREAL] (TSX: TFII, OTCQX: TFIFF) announced that David Saperstein, Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions, will be promoted to Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2019. As previously announced, Greg Rumble will be retiring from his CFO role.

Nuvei [MONTREAL] announced the appointment of David Schwartz as Chief Financial Officer. Schwartz most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at ALDO Group, where he held operational and financial leadership roles since 2010. Schwartz was also part of Optimal Payments’ founding group in 1999, having spent almost a decade at the global payments provider.

New Gold Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: NGD, NYSE American: NGD) announced the appointment of Robert J. Chausse as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. The Company also announces the departure of Paula Myson, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Rob was Chief Financial Officer of Richmont Mines Inc. until the sale of the company to Alamos Gold Inc. in November 2017, prior to which he was Chief Financial Officer at Stornoway Diamonds (2016) and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AuRico Gold (2013 to 2015). His past experience also includes Vice President of Finance, Operations and Projects for Kinross Gold (2009 to 2013). He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation (2006 to 2009) and held increasingly senior positions with Barrick Gold (1998 to 2006).

Intellipharmaceutics International Inc. [TORONTO] (NASDAQ and TSX: IPCI) announced the resignation of Andrew Patient, Chief Financial Officer, effective November 30, 2018 to pursue another opportunity. The functions of Chief Financial Officer for Intellipharmaceutics will be carried out by the Company’s President and former Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Amina Odidi.

PowerBand Solutions Inc. [Vancouver] (TSX-V: PBX, OTCQB: PWWBF) announced that it has appointed Gordon Cummings as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Gordon has over 29 years of experience in finance and management including: senior managerial positions in 2 of the Big 4 audit firms; the positions of CFO and then subsequently CEO of a Canadian alternative investment manager; the roles of CFO followed by CEO of a gold-silver exploration and development company listed on the TSX and NYSE Amex; and most recently a senior finance role with one of Canada’s largest pension asset managers. Gordon replaces Joe Mastrogiacomo.

Prize Mining Corporation [CALGARY] (TSX-V: PRZ, OTCQB: PRZFF) announced the appointment of Yuying Liang as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, replacing Tom Pierce.

Guyana Goldfields Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: GUY) announced that Paul Murphy, Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer will take a medical leave of absence, effective November 6, 2018, and that Christopher Stackhouse, current Vice President Finance, has been appointed interim Chief Financial Officer.

XORTX Therapeutics Inc. [CALGARY] (CSE: XRX; OTCQB: XRTXF) announced the appointment of James Fairbairn as Chief Financial Officer. Fairbairn has more than 20 years of experience with publicly-traded companies.

Handa Mining Corporation [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: HAND) announced that it has appointed Mark Lotz as Chief Financial Officer. Mark is a Chartered Professional Accountant practicing publicly through his firm Lotz CPA Inc. Formerly a CEO and CFO in the brokerage industry, he also has senior management experience in the mining, manufacturing and digital media sectors. In addition he serves as the CFO of Vodis Pharmaceuticals Inc.
