Crombie Real Estate Investment Trust [NEW GLASGOW, NS] (TSX: CRR.UN) announced that Clinton Keay is joining the company as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary, effective May 15, 2019. Keay is currently Executive Vice President IT and Transformation for Sobeys Inc. Mr. Keay joined Sobeys in 1989 and held a number of progressively senior finance roles before being appointed Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer in 2002, Executive Vice President Finance for Empire Company Limited in 2014, and Interim Chief Financial Officer at Sobeys Inc. (July 2016-April 2017), before assuming his current role. Keay fills the position currently held by Glenn Hynes who was appointed Crombie’s Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) in November 2018, as part of Crombie’s leadership renewal.
Clearwater Seafoods Incorporated [HALIFAX] announced that Teresa Fortney, Clearwater’s Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, plans to depart Clearwater to pursue other opportunities closer to her family in Ontario. In the interim, Ms. Fortney will continue to serve as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer to ensure a smooth transition.
Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: ZZZ) announced that Robert Masson, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, has advised the Company that he will resign from the organization to pursue another opportunity. Masson will remain with Sleep Country until May 7th to assist with an orderly transition.
M32 Connect [MONTREAL] announced that Meryam Smires has been appointed Chief Financial Officer.
ECN Capital Corp. [TORONTO] (TSX: ECN) announced the retirement of Grier Colter as Chief Financial Officer. The Company also announced the appointment and promotion of Michael Lepore, SVP, Controller, to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Auryn Resources Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX: AUG, NYSE American: AUG) announced the appointment of Stacy Rowa as Chief Financial Officer and the resignation of Peter Rees as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective April 1, 2019. Prior to joining Auryn, Rowa held finance roles with Elgin Mining Inc., before it was acquired by Mandalay Resources Inc. in 2014, and Aura Minerals Inc. She began her career with KPMG LLP’s mining practice.
Viridium Pacific Group Ltd. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: VIR, OTC Pink: VIRFF) announced the appointment of Kamini Hitkari to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Hitkari joins Viridium from Aurora Cannabis where she was the Vice President of Strategic Finance. Previously, Ms. Hitkari was with HSBC Bank Canada for over ten years at its head office in Vancouver, where she was most recently a Director of Finance for one of HSBC’s lines of business. She began her career with KPMG (Victoria) and subsequently moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (Vancouver). Ms. Hitkari will succeed Winnie Wong, who has served as Viridium’s Chief Financial Officer since 2018 and will remain as the Corporate Secretary of the Company and a strategic advisor to the Company during the transition period.
Harvest One Cannabis Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: HVT; OTCQX: HRVOF) announced that its Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), Lisa Dea, has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Chris Podolsky has been appointed as Interim Chief Financial Officer until a permanent replacement is found. Mr. Podolsky has over 30 years of senior finance leadership experience in both public and private organizations, including Gemini Corporation, Focus Corporation (acquired by WSP Canada) and WorleyParsons Canada. Mr. Podolsky has previously acted in an advisory capacity to Harvest One.
Torq Resources Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: TORQ) announced the appointment of Stacy Rowa as Chief Financial Officer and the resignation of Peter Rees as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective April 1, 2019. Mr. Rees is resigning to pursue a new opportunity. Rowa has been with the Company since 2016 serving as Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Torq, Ms. Rowa held finance roles with Elgin Mining Inc., before it was acquired by Mandalay Resources Inc. in 2014, and Aura Minerals Inc. She began her career with KPMG LLP’s mining practice.
Metallic Minerals Corp. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: MMG; US OTC: MMNGF) announced that Tim Thiessen has been appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for an interim period. Thiessen was previously CFO of Metallic Minerals from September 2016 to September 2018. Thiessen is replacing Mathew Lee who has stepped down in order to concentrate on his CFO roles with other listed companies. Thiessen’s experience includes holding the position of Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies including Aurcana Corporation, SnipGold Corp., and Group Ten Metals Inc. Prior to this, Mr. Thiessen spent 7 years as Vice President of Finance for TSX-listed Endeavour Financial.
Nass Valley Gateway Ltd. [VANCOUVER] (CSE: NVG) announced the appointment of Michal Semler as Chief Financial Officer. He is currently the CFO of ABL. Mr. Semler also worked with Pro-Thotics Technologies and its affiliates. Prior to working for Pro-Thotics, Semler was the CFO of Cause Capital Inc. He was the Senior Vice President at Momentum Worldwide until 2011. He graduated from Ithaca College of Ithaca, NY, USA with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Dealnet Capital Corp. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: DLS) announced that it has appointed Michael Koshan to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company. Mr. Koshan has resigned from the Board of Directors. Mr. Koshan has served as Treasurer of the Company since 2016, before being appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer in November of last year. Mr. Koshan was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Company in May 2018.
