The Second Cup Ltd. (TSX: SCU) announced that it has accepted the resignation of Robert Masson, the Company’s Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Masson has been with Second Cup for almost 5 years and is leaving to pursue other interests. Second Cup today announced that it has appointed Steve Boyack interim Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Boyack joins Second Cup most recently from The Source holding the positions of Senior Vice President Sales & Operations and prior to such Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Boyack has a diverse retail, food and beverage background including holding senior finance positions at Priszm Income Fund, West 49 Inc., and TJX Canada.
MagIndustries Corp. (TSX: MAA) announced that Stella Zhao, the Company’s Co-Chief Financial Officer, has resigned her position to pursue other interests. In the interim Geoff Woo, Corporate Controller, will be responsible for the financial management of the Company.
Savary Gold Corp. (TSX-V: SCA) announced the appointments of Gregory Duras as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Duras worked as Chief Financial Officer for various publicly traded companies including Avion Gold Corp. Previously held positions include Vice President of Finance and Administration at S.C. Rosia Montana Gold Corporation S.A. (RMGC) and a number of senior finance roles, including Controller of TSX-listed Gabriel Resources Ltd. and High River Gold Mines Ltd. The appointments follows the resignation of Carlo Valente as Chief Financial Officer.
King’s Bay Gold Corporation (TSX-V: KBG) announced the appointment of Ray Prefontaine as a Director of the Corporation. Mr. Prefontaine is currently the Corporation’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Prefontaine was a director of the Corporation from August 2003 to March 2010. Mr. Prefontaine is presently the Chief Financial Officer of Mainstream Minerals Corporation and a founding shareholder of Accolade Resources Corporation. He is currently a Director and the past-Chairman of the Saint-Boniface General Hospital Auxiliary Inc.
