AltaGas Ltd. [CALGARY] (TSX: ALA) announced the appointment of D. James Harbilas as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective June 10, 2019. Mr. Harbilas will be joining AltaGas from Enerflex Ltd., where he has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for over 11 years. Prior to his leadership role at Enerflex Ltd., he also served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Fortis Alberta Inc. AltaGas also announced that Tim Watson, the Company’s current Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will be leaving the Company. Mr. Watson will remain in his current role until June 9, 2019.
Enerflex Ltd. [CALGARY] (TSX: EFX) announced that D. James Harbilas, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), will resign effective June 7, 2019 to pursue another opportunity. Ben Park, Enerflex’s Vice President, Corporate Controller, has been appointed interim CFO.
Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund [VANCOUVER] (TSX: BPF.UN) and Boston Pizza International Inc. announced that Michael E. Harbinson joined BPI as its Chief Financial Officer. Harbinson will also be appointed a Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Boston Pizza GP Inc., the managing general partner of Boston Pizza Royalties Limited Partnership, administrator of the Fund, effective July 1, 2019 when Robert Kirincic, the Vice President, Finance of Treliving Management Services Ltd. (an affiliate of BPI), who has been serving as a Director and the Vice President, Finance of Boston Pizza GP Inc. on an interim basis, will step down. The role of Chief Financial Officer at BPI has been vacant since December 31, 2018. Harbinson is a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience in progressively senior finance roles at two other large Canadian restaurant operators and has extensive experience working in franchise systems.
HEXO Corp [GATINEAU, Quebec] (TSX: HEXO; NYSE-A: HEXO) announced the appointment of Michael Monahan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Most recently, Monahan served as CFO of Nutrisystem prior to its sale in March 2019. Before that, he was CFO of PetroChoice Holdings.
Eagle Energy Inc. [CALGARY] (TSX: EGL) announced that Brenda Galonski, Vice President, Finance and Controller of Eagle, will succeed Kelly Tomyn as Eagle’s Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Eagle, Ms. Galonski was the Vice President Finance and CFO of Coda Petroleum Inc., which Eagle acquired in 2015. Ms. Galonski initially assumed the role as Eagle’s Controller and later became its Vice-President, Finance.
Cannabis One Holdings Inc. [VANCOUVER and DENVER] (CSE: CBIS) announced that Theresa Mohan, currently Vice President of Finance with Cannabis One, has been appointed interim Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company. Cannabis One’s current interim CFO, Ryan Atkins, will resign from his current role. Atkins will transition into the role of General Counsel for the Company, following Ms. Mohan’s interim CFO appointment.
Universal mCloud Corp. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: MCLD, OTCQB: MCLDF) announced the appointment of Chantal Schutz to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective upon the upcoming filing of the Company’s annual financial statements. Schutz brings over 20 years of financial and operating experience to the Company, having held leadership roles in both private and publicly traded companies of varying sizes and sectors. Ms. Schutz began her career articling for both KPMG and PwC, and most recently held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Vancouver-based NYCE Sensors. She currently sits on the board of Clean Seed Capital Group (CSX.V) and NYCE Sensors.
1933 Industries Inc. [VANCOUVER] (CSE: TGIF, OTCQX: TGIFF) announced the appointment of Steve Radusch as named Chief Financial Officer, taking over the position from Ryan Maarschalk. Radusch most recently served as CFO for a licensed cannabis company in Nevada. Mr. Radusch was the CFO of a start-up technology company. He has also served as acting CFO/Controller for divisions in both a $100+ billion Fortune 10 company and a $7 billion Fortune 500 company. Mr. Radusch’s appointment as CFO is effective June 17th, 2019.
Bunker Hill Mining Corporation [TORONTO] (CSE: BNKR) announced that effective Julio Di Girolomo is succeeded by Wayne Parsons as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.
Founders Advantage Capital Corp. [CALGARY] (TSX-V: FCF) announced that Robin Burpee has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Burpee has served as Controller of the Corporation since September, 2017. Prior to joining FAC, she worked at a major international accounting firm as a team member in the assurance group and spent several years preparing financial reporting for an international TSX listed company.
Sunniva Inc. [VANCOUVER] (CSE: SNN, OTCQB: SNNVF) announced the appointment of David Lyle as Chief Financial Officer, effective June 3, 2019, who will be based in California. Mr. Lyle previously served as CFO at Maxwell Technologies, Inc. Maxwell was recently acquired by Tesla, Inc. Mr. Lyle will be taking over for David Negus, Sunniva’s current CFO, who will transition to supporting the Company in a consulting role commencing at the end of June 2019.
