DAVIDsTEA Inc. [MONTREAL] (NASDAQ: DTEA) announced that Howard Tafler, Chief Financial Officer, has tendered his resignation in order to accept a position in another industry. The resignation takes effect in 30 days. Joe Bongiorno, Director of Finance of DAVIDsTEA, has been appointed as Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Foresters Financial™ [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Alvin Sharma as our new Global Chief Financial Officer, effective September 17, 2018. Sharma was most recently with Echelon Insurance where he is Chief Financial Officer. Alvin also has extensive life insurance and asset management experience in the U.S., the U.K. and Canada.

Echelon Financial Holdings Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: EFH) announced the resignation of Alvin Sharma as Echelon’s Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Company’s Senior Management team. After nearly six years with the Company, Mr. Sharma has decided to pursue another opportunity as a CFO in the life insurance industry. Mr. Sharma’s resignation is effective September 14th. Patrick Espeut, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller, will act as interim CFO for the Company.

Stantec [EDMONTON & NEW YORK] (TSX: STN, NYSE: STN) announced that following a successful 10-year tenure as the Company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), Dan Lefaivre will retire from the CFO role, effective December 31, 2018 as part of a planned executive leadership succession strategy. The firm also announced today that Theresa Jang will join Stantec on September 10, 2018 as executive vice president; she will take on the CFO role effective January 1, 2019. Jang was previously the CFO of Veresen Inc. Jang began her career at Ernst & Young, followed by positions at TransCanada Corporation and Veresen Inc. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for Bonavista Energy Corporation and will retain that position after joining Stantec.

Central 1 Credit Union [VANCOUVER] announced the appointment of Sheila Vokey to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Vokey will begin her role at Central 1 effective October 9, 2018. Prior to her time in her most recent role as Chief Financial Officer at Payments Canada (a secondment from the Bank of Canada), Vokey was Chief Risk Officer and Advisor to the Governor at Bank of Canada; she has also held the role of Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the Canadian Tourism Commission.

AutoCanada Inc. [EDMONTON] (TSX: ACQ) announced that Raj Juneja has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Michael Cunningham has been appointed as Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, United States. Mr. Juneja was previously a senior partner with Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Mr. Cunningham was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Potamkin Automotive Group, one of the largest automotive dealer groups in the United States. He was also previously the Vice President, Finance Western Region of AutoNation, overseeing over 70 dealer locations.

Rex Opportunity Corp. [Toronto] announced the appointment of Olin Reid as a Director and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Olin Reid is a finance professional with experience in the Mining, Construction and Investment Banking industries.

Indigo Books & Music Inc. (TSX: IDG) announced the appointment of Laura Carr, Senior Vice President, Finance to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective  June 25th, 2014.  Ms. Carr, who has been with Indigo since November, 2013 succeeds outgoing CFO, Kay Brekken, who has accepted a position outside the Company. Prior to joining Indigo, Ms. Carr was Regional CFO, Americas and UK CFO for JT International.

First Capital Realty Inc. (TSX: FCR) announced that Kay Brekken will join the Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on August 5, 2014. Ms. Brekken is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Indigo Books & Music, Inc., a role she has held since 2011. Ms. Brekken joined Indigo Books & Music, Inc. in 2003 and held progressively more senior finance roles prior to her current position. Prior thereto, Ms. Brekken was Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Regional Operations of Medical Consultants Network, in Seattle, Washington. In connection with her current role, Ms. Brekken is also a member of the board of directors of Calendar Club of Canada and the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation and was previously a director of Kobo, Inc.

AutoCanada Inc. (TSX: ACQ) announced that Christopher Burrows has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Company effective September 1, 2014. Since 2010, Mr. Burrows was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of K-Bro Linen Systems.  Prior thereto Mr. Burrows was the Vice-President Finance, Administration & Tax with Stuart Olson (formerly The Churchill Corporation). As part of the transition, Jeff Christie, Vice-President, Finance will continue in his current role and effective September 1, 2014, will be appointed Vice-President, Operations.

K-Bro Linen Inc. (TSX: KBL) announced that Christopher Burrows will resign as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation effective August 1, 2014 to accept a position with another company.

Pure Technologies Ltd. (TSX: PUR) announced the appointment of Geoff Krause as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective July 14, 2014. Mr. Krause is currently Vice President, Finance, for Tervita Corporation. Prior to joining Tervita in 2011, Geoff held CFO positions at Pristine Power Inc. and Cork Exploration Inc.

Westport Innovations Inc. (TSX: WPT) announced that Ashoka Achuthan has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Westport. Bill Larkin has been appointed to Vice President, Corporate Development. Ashoka has been with Westport since November 2013 as Executive Vice President, Finance Operations. Prior to joining Westport, he was CFO at CODA Holdings Inc. between 2011 and 2013. His career includes over 20 years with Siemens in Asia, Europe and North America. His last position at Siemens was Executive Vice President and CFO of Siemens VDO Automotive Inc. Ashoka has also held roles as CFO at Cooper Power Systems Inc. between 2005 and 2008; CFO at ATC Technologies Corp between 2008 and 2010; and the CFO at Key Plastics LLC in 2010.

Veresen Inc. (TSX: VSN) announced that Theresa Jang has been appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Theresa Jang joined Veresen in 2006 as Controller and was appointed Vice President, Controller in 2009, a role she held until she was appointed Vice President, Finance and Risk Management in 2013. Theresa Jang was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer in January 2014.

Ivernia Inc. (TSX: IVW) announced that Alan You Lee has been named Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. You Lee is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Enirgi Group Corporation, the Company’s majority shareholder. Mr. Stephen Pike, who has served as Interim CFO since September 2013, will step down on June 10, 2014 to pursue a new role within Enirgi Group but will remain available to the Company to assist with the transition of the finance functions. Mr. You Lee has been with Enirgi Group and its subsidiaries for over five years. Before joining Enirgi Group he was CFO of a leading Australian Bank’s private equity division and real estate division. He has also served as CFO and General Manager, Finance, for a number of other international firms.

Minco Gold Corporation (TSX: MMM) announced that Ellen Wei, Chief Financial Officer is no longer with the company. The Company’s Controller, Samson Siu has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Siu has been the Company’s Controller since November 1, 2012.

Oil Optimization Inc. (TSX-V: OOI) announced the appointment of Arif Shivji as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. He was previously a Chief Financial Officer of a TSXV-listed company. Arif also worked as an independent corporate finance advisor and in that capacity advised in the successful acquisition of a private oil company and the purchase of international petroleum assets, and provided a fairness opinion in connection with a completed public company acquisition. He was also formerly a Manager of Transaction Services with PwC Advisory.

Troymet Exploration Corp. (TSX-V: TYE) announced the appointment of Joseph Meagher as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Meagher replaces Brian Cebryk, who resigned to focus on personal interests. Mr. Meagher is a director at Triumvirate Consulting Corp., a financial consulting firm. Prior to joining Triumvirate, Mr. Meagher worked at Smythe Ratcliffe LLP as a manager.

Viscount Systems Inc. (OTC: VSYS) announced the appointment of Alexander J. Buehler to its Board of Directors. Mr. Buehler has served as Chief Financial Officer of Energy Recovery Inc. (NASDAQ: ERII) since May of 2011. Prior to joining Energy Recovery, he spent seven years in executive leadership positions at Insituform Technologies, Inc., (now Aegion Corporation; NASDAQ: AEGN). Prior to joining Insituform, Mr. Buehler worked for five years in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Stans Energy Corp. (TSX-V: HRE) announced the appointment of Elena Masters, who is resuming her role as CFO for the Company. Ms. Masters has held several senior leadership positions during her career, including CFO with Stans Energy Corp. from December 2009 through February 2012. Her previous roles include serving as the CFO for a number of TSX Venture listed companies. Since 2006 Ms. Masters has been President of Administrative Services Corp, a private consulting firm, as well as serving as CFO for JM Capital II Corp.

Vena Solutions announced the appointment of Darrell Cox to the role of Chief Financial Officer. He was formerly the VP of Finance at Freshbooks. He has also held numerous senior-level positions at Wind Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Rogers Communications. Cox takes over the CFO reins from Tim Dearden, who has been pointed as Vena’s Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director.

Hudson’s Bay Company (TSX: HBC) announced that Michael Culhane, HBC’s Chief Financial Officer, is on a personal leave of absence from the Company. Donald Watros, Chief Operating Officer of HBC, has assumed the additional responsibilities of acting Chief Financial Officer.

U. S. Steel Canada, a subsidiary of United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X), announced several management appointments effective Feb. 1, 2014.  Michael A. McQuade, who currently serves as vice president and chief financial officer, will advance to the role of president and general manager of U. S. Steel Canada.  Roy S. Collins, currently serving as controller – Hamilton Works, will assume McQuade’s responsibilities. McQuade has held a variety of accounting, finance, sales and operations roles at the Ontario steelmaking facilities.  Originally employed with Stelco, McQuade became the general manager – finance when U. S. Steel completed its acquisition in 2007.  Collins began his 37-year career at Hamilton Works as member of United Steelworkers Local 1005.  Collins joined the finance organization in 1988 and advanced through the organization to become controller – Hamilton Works in 2007.

Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) announced that Brian Gabel, the GTAA’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer has provided notice of resignation effective March 31, 2014.  Mr. Gabel will assume the position of Vice President, Stakeholder Engagement, at the Canadian Public Accountability Board, Canada’s auditor regulator.

Veresen Inc. (TSX: VSN) announced that Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Richard Weech, is leaving Veresen to accept a leadership role with another company. Mr. Weech’s resignation is effective February 7, 2014. Theresa Jang will be appointed interim Chief Financial Officer upon Mr. Weech’s resignation. Ms. Jang joined Veresen in 2006 as Controller and was appointed Vice President, Controller in 2009, a role she held until she was appointed Vice President, Finance and Risk Management in 2013. Ms. Jang previously served as interim Chief Financial Officer of Veresen (then Fort Chicago Energy Partners L.P.) in similar circumstances for seven months in 2009. Adam Jean

Fortune Minerals Limited (TSX: FT) announced the promotion of Adam Jean to the position of Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Adam has been with Fortune for six years as the Company’s Controller. He replaces Julian Kemp who is no longer with the Company. Prior to joining Fortune, Adam Jean was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young LLP (“EY”).

TrinCan Capital Corp. (TSX-V: TRN) announced that Rebecca Hudson has been appointed as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer.  Ms. Hudson has served as CFO and consulted for a number of publicly-listed junior resource companies with projects in North and South America. The Company has accepted the resignation of Savi Franz, who has been CFO since August, 2010 .

Temex Resources Corp. (TSX-V: TME) announced the appointment of Derrick Weyrauch as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Corporation. Concurrent with the appointment of Mr. Weyrauch, Edward J. Badida has resigned from the position of CFO of the Corporation, a position he held since 2003. Mr. Weyrauch currently serves as a non-executive director on the Audit, Health & Safety committee and chairs two special committees for the board of directors of Jaguar Mining Inc. He also serves as a non-executive director on the Audit Committee for the board of directors of Banro Corporation.  Prior to its sale in 2013, Mr. Weyrauch served as the Chief Financial Officer of Andina Minerals Inc.

Forent Energy Ltd. (TSX-V: FEN) announced the appointment of Brad R. Perry as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Perry has 23+ years of oil and gas experience including 16+ years as the CFO of several junior oil and gas exploration and development companies listed on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchanges, notably, Corridor Resources Ltd. in Halifax and, most recently, Tuscany Energy Ltd. in Calgary.
