TransAlta Corporation [CALGARY] (TSX: TA, NYSE: TAC) announced the appointment of Christophe Dehout to Chief Financial Officer. He will replace Brett Gellner, who will continue to serve as Chief Strategy and Investment Officer of TransAlta. Most recently Mr. Dehout was at Engie SA as Project Director and Deputy Head of Performance and Group Transformation.
Loop Industries [MONTREAL] (NASDAQ: LOOP) announced that CFO Frank Zitella has resigned from the Company effective December 6.
ClearStream Energy Services Inc. [CALGARY] (TSX: CSM) announced the appointment of Randy Watt as its Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Watt previously served as the CFO of Access Pipeline Inc. Prior to his CFO role at Access Pipeline Inc., Mr. Watt was a leader in Deloitte and PwC.
Morguard North American Residential Real Estate Investment Trust [MISSISSAUGA, ON] (TSX: MRG.UN) announced the appointment of Christopher A. Newman as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) effective November 19, 2018. Mr. Newman has held the position of Director of Finance at Morguard Corporation (TSX: MRC) since 2015 and has previously worked in progressively senior financial positions at two publicly-traded residential real estate investment trusts. Mr. Newman succeeds Robert D. Wright, who will transition out of the CFO post that he has held since November 2013 to become Vice President at the REIT.
Newstrike Brands Ltd. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: HIP) announced the appointment of Sean Byrne as Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Mr. Byrne was CFO at TSX listed Brick Brewing Limited Co. He has also held senior finance positions at several NASDAQ and NYSE listed companies including RR Donnelly Canada, Thermo Fisher Scientific, The Scotts Company and Monsanto Corp Inc. Mr. Byrne succeeds Jason Redman who will be stepping down from the position.
Reliq Health Technologies Inc. [VANCOUVER] (TSX-V: RHT, OTCQB: RQHTF) announcec that Aman Thindal will be resigning from the Board of Directors as well as from his position as Chief Financial Officer to pursue other opportunities, effective November 30, 2018.
Nutrien Ltd. [CALGARY] announced that Pedro Farah has been appointed Nutrien’s Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, effective February 1, 2019. Mr. Farah joined Walmart in 2011, where he graduated to more senior positions, most recently as Executive Vice President and Treasurer, Walmart. Before that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Walmex (Walmart Mexico). Prior to joining Walmart, Mr. Farah worked in the technology, automotive and finance industries.
INV Metals Inc. [TORONTO] (TSX: INV) announced the appointment of Sunny Lowe as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Lowe joined Kinross Gold Corp. in 2013 as Vice President, Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management. Prior to Kinross Gold Corp, Ms. Lowe worked at Inmet Mining where she held leadership roles of increasing responsibility across functions including Enterprise Risk Management, Global Taxation and Compliance, and Business Systems and Controls.
