Stuart Olson Inc. [CALGARY] (TSX: SOX) announced that its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Bharat Mahajan, has notified the Company of his decision to resign and that he has accepted a different position. The Company announced the appointment of Dean R. Beacon as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Beacon previously held the position on an interim basis from September 9, 2019 to January 8, 2020. Beacon is a senior executive with extensive work experience, including acting as a Chief Financial Officer of a public company. He was previously Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Canexus. He joined Canexus in 2012 as Treasurer and Director, Risk Management, and then became the Vice President Strategy, Risk and Business Development in 2014, before being appointed Senior Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 2015. Prior to joining Canexus, Mr. Beacon held senior positions responsible for treasury, finance, risk management and marketing.
Inscape [HOLLAND LANDING, Ontario] (TSX: INQ) announced that Jon Szczur has joined the Company as Interim Chief Financial Officer, replacing Aziz Hirji who left the company to pursue a new opportunity. Szczur most recently was Vice President of Finance at SMTC. Prior to SMTC, Mr. Szczur was Chief Financial Officer of Adeptron Technologies.
ZoomerMedia Limited [TORONTO] announced the appointment of Terence Chan to the position of Chief Financial Officer effective February 1, 2020. Chan served in senior finance roles in both the private and public sectors including Novartis Consumer Health, AstraZeneca Canada and, most recently, Health Shared Services Ontario. Chan aldo had media experience as director of finance for Astral Kids Television. Chan takes over the position from David Vickers who served as VP Finance and Chief Financial Officer for seven years, and has resigned effective January 31, 2020 in order to pursue other interests.
Origin Gold Corporation [MONTREAL] (TSX-V: OIC) announced that Deborah Battiston has been appointed as the chief financial officer and secretary of the Company. Battiston has over 25 years of financial management which includes public companies, mergers and acquisitions, tax, and financing. The appointment of Battiston follows Vatche Tchakmakian’s resignation as chief financial officer and secretary.
White Metal Resources Corp. [Thunder Bay, Ontario] (TSX-V: WHM) announced the resignation of Matt Witiluk as CFO. The Company is announced the appointment of CFO Nikolaos (Nick) S. Tsimidis. Tsimidis spent 6 years at KPMG. In 1993, Nick left KPMG to set up his own chartered accounting firm. Tsimidis is the CFO and the Principal Broker for Union Capital Management Inc. and the CFO of Haven Property Development Inc. He is also the chief financial officer and a director of Metals Creek Resources Corp. (TSXV: MEK) and Bold Stroke Ventures (TSX: BSV.P).
Minsud Resources Corp. [TORONTO] (TSX-V: MSR) announced that Paul Andersen has resigned as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of the Company. Michael Johnston has replaced Andersen as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Johnston joined Forbes Andersen LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants in 2004 and became a partner in 2012. Johnston has over 12 years of experience with both private and public companies in various capacities, including that of Chief Financial Officer.
