VerifyMe, Inc. [ROCHESTER, N.Y.] (OTCQB: VRME) announced it has appointed Jay Cardwell as its chief financial officer. Mr. Cardwell has been the COO of The CFO Squad LLC since July 2015. Prior to The CFO Squad, Mr. Cardwell held CEO, CFO & COO and director roles for companies within the entertainment industry. Mr. Cardwell began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. In addition, Mr. Cardwell continues to serve as a trustee for charitable organizations as well as a treasurer.
Casper [NEW YORK] announced the hire of Greg Macfarlane as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Macfarlane served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations and Strategy for H&R Block. Prior to H&R Block, Macfarlane was Executive Vice President and CFO for Ceridian Corporation, and spent more than 14 years in senior leadership roles at GE.
Synteract [SAN DIEGO & RALEIGH, N.C] announced that Karl Deonanan has joined as chief financial officer (CFO). Deonanan joins Synteract from IQVIA (formerly Quintiles) where he was CFO of the organization’s Research and Development Solutions segment. Prior to his role as CFO of IQVIA, Deonanan held key leadership positions with increasing responsibility over his 14 years with the company. These included vice president of Investor Relations; CFO of the Asia and Australia region, based in Singapore; and executive director Finance – Global Data Management and Biostatistics. He started his career in public accounting, working at Dixon Hughes Goodman and later Arthur Andersen.
The NHP Foundation [WASHINGTON] announced that Karen Caldwell has been named Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the organization. Previously served as CFO and Executive Vice-President for the New York City Housing Authority. Prior to her work at NYCHA, Caldwell served as president of Hanseatic Management Services, Inc. She is also a former Managing Director, Alternative Investments at Amundi Investments, LLC.
ConsultNet [SOUTH JORDAN, Utah] welcomes Marnie Nuttall as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer. Nuttall was most recently CFO at Central Logic. Nuttall previously served as CFO at Echopass Corporation.
AstroNova, Inc. [WEST WARWICK, R.I.] (NASDAQ: ALOT) announced that its Board of Directors has elected David S. Smith as Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Joseph P. O’Connell, the Company’s Interim CFO since August 2017, will return to his position as Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Smith has served as CFO for multinational companies Dover Corporation and Crane Co. From 2005 to 2008 he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Standard Microsystems Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Smith was a Managing Partner for S.C. Advisors LLC.
First Northern Community Bancorp and First Northern Bank [DIXON, Calif.] (OTCQB: FNRN) announced that Kevin M. Spink, currently the Company’s Senior Vice President/Corporate Controller, is being promoted to Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining First Northern in 2015, Spink spent seven years with KPMG, LLP, and five years with Rabobank where his last position was Senior Vice President/Chief Accounting Officer.
Jack in the Box Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: JACK) announced that Lance F. Tucker will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He replaces Jerry P. Rebel, who has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Jack in the Box Inc. since 2005, and announced in April 2017 his plans to retire from the company when a successor was hired. Tucker is currently Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for Papa John’s International, Inc. Tucker was promoted to CFO and Treasurer at Papa John’s in February 2011 and added the CAO title and responsibilities in July 2012. From June 2010 to February 2011 he was Papa John’s Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning, and he served as its Chief of Staff and Vice President, Strategic Planning from June 2009 to June 2010. Prior to joining Papa John’s in 2009, Tucker served six years as Chief Financial Officer of Evergreen Real Estate in Louisville. From 1999 to 2003, he held leadership positions in finance for several companies engaged in education, technology consulting, online retailing or real estate development. Tucker was previously employed by Papa John’s as Director of Finance from 1994 to 1999. Prior to joining Papa John’s, Tucker was a senior accountant for Ernst & Young, LLC.
Papa John’s International, Inc. [LOUISVILLE, Ky.] (NASDAQ: PZZA) announced that Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer Lance Tucker is departing the Company to assume the role of chief financial officer at Jack in the Box Inc.
eHealth, Inc. [MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.] (NASDAQ: EHTH) announced that David Francis, the company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, will take on the new role of Chief Operating Officer of eHealth. Mr. Francis will continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer until his replacement is named.
FLEXcon Company, Inc. [SPENCER, Mass.] announced Aimee Peacock as Chief Financial Officer, FLEXcon North America. Previous CFO, Ethan Goldman will continue to serve as CFO of FLEXcon Holdings, its parent company, which includes FLEXcon North America, FLEXcon Europe, FLEXcon Industrial, Arlon Graphics and Blueshift Materials. Aimee recently served as CFO of Brooks Life Science Systems.
CloudBees, Inc. [SAN JOSE, Calif.] announced that Matt Parson, former treasurer at Red Hat, Inc., has joined CloudBees as chief financial officer. Parson started his career in public accounting where he spent about six years with three of the Big 4 accounting firms, including Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young and KPMG. Following his years in public accounting, Parson went to Red Hat where he worked his way from director, internal audit to treasurer.
Presidio, Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: PSDO) announced that Neil Johnston has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Johnston will succeed Paul Fletcher, who has decided to retire after serving as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since 2007. Prior to joining Presidio, Mr. Johnston served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cox Automotive. Before working for Cox Automotive, Mr. Johnston served as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Digital Innovation at Cox Media Group (CMG). Prior to this, he served as Chief Financial Officer of CMG from 2009 to 2012, was the CFO of Cox Radio from 2000 until 2009 and he began his career with Cox Enterprises in 1996. Prior to joining Cox, Mr. Johnston worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. and Deloitte and Touche, LLP.

Darling Ingredients Inc. [IRVING, Texas] (NYSE: DAR) announced that Brad Phillips has become its Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Phillips has served in a number of different capacities for the Company since 1988. Most recently he served as the Vice President – Treasurer since May 2014. Previously, he held the positions of Treasurer from January 1993 to May 2014, Assistant Treasurer from January 1991 to January 1993, and Assistant Controller from October 1988 to January 1991. Prior to Darling, he was the Corporate Accounting Manager at Republic Health Corporation from 1984 to 1988, and from 1982 to 1984 he served in the audit group at Arthur Andersen.
Spiceworks [AUSTIN, Texas] announced J. Scott Di Valerio joined the company as chief operating and financial officer. Scott served most recently as the CFO at RetailMeNot, Inc. Prior to RetailMeNot, Scott was CEO of Outerwall after serving as CFO. Other roles include president of the Americas for the Lenovo Group Limited, executive positions at Microsoft, including corporate vice president of the OEM division, corporate vice president of finance and administration, and chief accounting officer. Scott has also served in executive positions at The Walt Disney Company and Mindwave Software Inc., and as a partner at PwC.
Elastic [MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. and AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands] announced that it has appointed Janesh Moorjani as Chief Financial Officer. Janesh Moorjani previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Infoblox, Senior Vice President of Finance at VMware and in finance and sales positions at Cisco. Prior to working in the tech industry, Moorjani worked at Goldman Sachs, serving as Vice President in the firm’s merchant banking division.
CS Disco Inc. [HOUSTON] appointed Michael Lafair as Chief Financial Officer. Lafair, DISCO’s new CFO, previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Offers.com. After that, Lafair served as Global Head of Finance, Ziff Davis B2B. Prior to Offers.com, Lafair served as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel of All Web Leads, Inc. and Vice President and General Counsel of Interlogix, Inc. and practiced corporate law at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
DataPath, Inc. [ATLANTA] announced the appointment of Carter Johnson as its Chief Financial Officer. Johnson succeeds Emmett Moore, who served as CFO for nearly four years. Johnson most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and Contract Management at Meggitt Training Systems. Additionally, Johnson previously served in progressive finance leadership roles at businesses including Barco/Esterline Technologies, ChoicePoint/LexisNexis, and S1 Corporation.
