Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) announced that Microsoft CFO Peter Klein will leave the company at the end of the current fiscal year, after nearly four years in role and 11 years at the company. Microsoft will be naming a new CFO from its finance leadership team in the next several weeks.
Logitech International (NASDAQ: LOGI) announced that Erik K. Bardman, senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer, will leave Logitech, effective April 26, 2013. Mr. Bardman, who has been with Logitech since October 2009, will join Roku as chief financial officer.
Roku Inc. announced that Erik Bardman will join the company as Chief Financial Officer. Bardman was appointed Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Logitech International (NASDAQ: LOGI) in September 2009 and will depart the company this month. Bardman was elected to Trulia’s Board of Directors in June 2012 and will continue to hold that seat while at Roku. Prior to Logitech, Bardman spent six years at eBay and served as the Chief Financial Officer for eBay Marketplaces, the company’s largest portfolio of businesses. Prior to joining eBay, he was with General Electric for 15 years in a variety of roles.
Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE:IR) is pleased to announce that Patrick Shannon will serve as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the new, standalone global security company to be created upon its separation from Ingersoll Rand later this year. Shannon currently serves as vice president and treasurer for Ingersoll Rand. Previously, he was vice president of audit services. Prior to audit services, Shannon served as vice president of finance and information technology for Trane Commercial Systems, beginning in September 2008. That appointment followed his stewardship as vice president of strategy and business development. From 2002 to 2005, he served as vice president, finance for the Ingersoll Rand Construction Technologies Sector. Before joining Ingersoll Rand, Shannon served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for OneCoast Network Corporation. Before that, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer for AGCO Corporation. Shannon started his career with Arthur Andersen LLP.
Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT) announced that Plantronics CFO Pamela Strayer will serve as the acting CEO during an unplanned absence of the President & CEO, Ken Kannappan. Pam joined Plantronics in July 2012 as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
The Weather Company announced the appointment of Peter Kuipers as chief financial officer (CFO) effective May 6, 2013. Kuipers joins the company from Yahoo! Inc., where he serves as vice president of finance for the Americas Region. At Yahoo! Kuipers previously served as vice president of finance, global products division, and as vice president of finance, international regions. Kuipers also served as a member of the board of directors for the majority of Yahoo!’s international companies. Prior to Yahoo!, Kuipers held financial leadership roles with Altera Corp. in San Jose, Calif., with General Electric Company both in Mass. and in the Netherlands, and with Akzo Nobel in the Netherlands.
Pluralsight announced the appointments of Greg Woodward as Chief Financial Officer. Woodward was most recently Chief Financial Officer at PermaPlate, and previously as Senior Vice President in the Portfolio Group at Huntsman Gay Global Capital.
Logicalis announced the appointment of Nathan Fong to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the United States. Most recently, Fong served as both CFO and COO for Motricity. Prior to Motricity, Fong held the dual roles of CFO and interim CEO for Atrinsic Inc. He also served as both CFO and executive vice president for The Orchard Enterprise Inc.; CFO of Rodale International; CFO and senior vice president of media and entertainment company Discovery Networks International; and divisional vice president of global finance for entertainment and media giant Twentieth Century Fox.
MDC Partners (NASDAQ: MDCA) announced that it has tapped Andre Coste, former Global Chief Financial Officer of Publicis Worldwide, to take on the role of Chief Financial Officer for the MDC Partner Network. Most recently, Coste served as a key partner to Publicis’ Global CEO in the role of Global CFO, a position he held for five years.
RLJ Lodging Trust (NYSE: RLJ) announced the appointment of Leslie D. Hale to Executive Vice President. Ms. Hale will serve in a dual role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She joined RLJ Development, Inc., the Company’s predecessor, in 2005 as its Director of Real Estate and Finance and was promoted to Vice President in 2006. In 2007, she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Prior to Ms. Hale’s tenure at RLJ, she held several positions within General Electric Capital Corporation (“GE”), including Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of GE Commercial Finance and Associate Director in the GE Real Estate – Strategic Capital Group. Before GE, Ms. Hale was an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Financial Institutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISI) named Kevin B. Klotzbach as chief financial officer and executive vice president in addition to his current role as treasurer. Karl F. Krebs, who served as the organization’s CFO since October 2009, will remain with the company through a brief transition period. Mr. Klotzbach has served as senior vice president and treasurer of Five Star Bank since 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Klotzbach was the chief investment officer at Greater Buffalo Savings Bank. Earlier in his career, he held various executive, portfolio management and risk management positions with Key Bank, Empire Federal Savings Bank and Merrill Lynch Asset Management.
Superior Industries International, Inc. (NYSE: SUP) announced the appointment of Kerry A. Shiba to its board of directors. Mr. Shiba is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Superior. Mr. Shiba also is a member of the board of directors of Tulsa-based Ramsey Industries LLC. Prior to joining Superior in 2010 as senior vice president and chief financial officer, he was senior vice president/chief financial & restructuring officer and president of the original equipment business unit of Remy International, Inc. Mr. Shiba previously held senior management positions with Kaiser Aluminum Corporation, including vice president and chief financial officer, and served in senior financial management roles with The BF Goodrich Company.
Envysion, Inc. announced the appointment of Michelle Shewchuk as Chief Financial Officer. Shewchuk brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience to Envysion and comes from Exclusive Resorts. In addition, Shewchuk spent part of her early career working at Berkshire Partners.
ProVest announced it has promoted Caryn Bosworth to CFO. Bosworth was vice president of finance and accounting with the company for more than three years. Prior to joining ProVest, Bosworth was vice president and controller for Catalina Marketing Corp. Before her position at Catalina, Bosworth was director of global financial reporting for Tropicana Products, Inc., and was a supervising senior in the audit department of KPMG.
Midway Gold Corp. (AMEX: MDW) announced that John Labate will be joining the Midway team as the new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Labate will work with Fritz Schaudies, the Company’s current CFO, to ensure a seamless transition of his Chief Financial Officer duties. Mr. Labate is joining Midway from Behre Dolbear where he has been Managing Director in the management-consulting group. Prior to his consultancy, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Golden Star Resources. Prior to his tenure with Golden Star, Mr. Labate was Vice President and CFO of Constellation Copper Corporation.
Great American Group, Inc. (OTC: GAMR) appointed Phillip Ahn as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Ahn previously served as Great American Group’s Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development from February 2010 to April 2013. Prior to joining Great American Group, Mr. Ahn held private equity investment positions at middle market private equity firms Altpoint Capital Partners and Stone Tower Equity Partners.
Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT) announced the appointment of Ahmed Rubaie as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Rubaie most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ariba Inc. Mr. Rubaie joined Ariba in August 2008. Prior to Ariba, Mr. Rubaie spent nearly eight years at Avery Dennison where he held various senior finance positions, the last one being a global division CFO. Mr. Rubaie also spent nearly six years in various global finance leadership roles at BHP Billiton.
CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (NYSE: CTP) announced the appointment of William J. Keneally as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Keneally spent four years in London with Gullivers Travel Associates by Travelport, then majority-owned by Blackstone Group, as Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President. Previously, he held senior finance and accounting positions at Elizabeth Arden, and Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts and was a Managing Partner at BDO Seidman. Keneally began his career at Arthur Andersen.
Destination Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Mark Hays as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Hays first joined Destination Hotels & Resorts in 2005, where he served as Director of Finance at The Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Denver, Colo. Soon after, he was promoted to Vice President, Regional Controller in the Destination corporate office. In 2007, Hays was promoted to Corporate Controller. Prior to joining the Destination team, Hays served as Corporate Controller and Regional Controller for Sage Hospitality from 2000 to 2005. Hays also held tenure as General Manager of the Embassy Suites Denver Tech Center and the Holiday Inn Garden of the Gods Colorado Springs, both Meristar Hotels, from 1995 to 2000.
Kaman Corp. (NYSE:KAMN) announced that Robert D. Starr has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective as of July 1, 2013, upon the retirement of William C. Denninger, Executive Vice President and CFO, on June 30, 2013. Starr, who joined the Company in 2009, currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to joining Kaman, Starr was employed by Crane Co. (NYSE: CR) where he served as Assistant Treasurer. He also previously served as Managing Director, Corporate Finance at Aetna, Inc., and as Director, Capital Markets and Risk Management at Fisher Scientific International, Inc. Starr also was an associate at both Salomon Smith Barney in New York and Chase Securities, Inc. in New York and Singapore. He began his career as an auditor with Laventhol & Horwath in New York.
Broadway Financial Corporation (NASDAQ Capital Market: BYFC), the holding company of Broadway Federal Bank, f.s.b. (“Bank”) announced that Brenda Battey has been approved by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of the Company.
