Armstrong Flooring [LANCASTER, PA] (NYSE: AFI) announced the appointment of Gregory D. Waina, as interim chief financial officer. The announcement comes after Armstrong Flooring and Douglas B. Bingham mutually agreed to separate. Waina has advised on multiple business transformation efforts at major brands, including The Wendy’s Company, Hillenbrand, Inc., Red Roof Inn, Inc., DSW Shoe Warehouse, and Express, Inc.
ViacomCBS Inc. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: VIACA, VIAC) announced that Naveen Chopra has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, effective August 10, 2020. He succeeds Christina Spade, who will transition into an advisory role after the Company’s second quarter earnings call. Chopra joins ViacomCBS from Amazon, where he served as Chief Financial Officer of Amazon’s Devices and Services business. Previously, Chopra spent two years as Chief Financial Officer of Pandora, and served, for a period, as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that, he served in a number of senior positions at TiVo, including four years as Chief Financial Officer and a period as Interim Chief Executive Officer. Chopra also spent six years on the board of directors at Vonage Holdings, and is a member of the board of KQED San Francisco, one of the nation’s largest public media organizations. Earlier in his career, Chopra held business development roles at both large enterprises like Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard and early-stage venture-backed companies including WebTV, Ofoto, and Rearden Steel.
Materion Corporation [MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH] (NYSE: MTRN) announced that it has appointed Stephen F. Shamrock, current Vice President, Corporate Controller and Investor Relations as interim Chief Financial Officer to succeed Joseph P. Kelley, who previously notified the Company on May 1, 2020 that he will be leaving the company to pursue another career opportunity. Shamrock joined the Company in September 2014 as Vice President, Corporate Controller. Shamrock previously held progressively responsible roles over 10 years at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, including Finance Director, Controller European Union, Director of Finance and Strategy, and Director of Global Cash Management. Prior to joining Goodyear, he spent 10 years in the audit practice of KPMG, LLP.
PanTheryx [BOULDER, CO] announced the appointment of Tom Feeley to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Feeley joins PanTheryx from DSM, where he most recently served as Vice President, Nutritional Lipids Category. Prior to DSM, Feeley held various financial and operational leadership roles over a span of 13 years at Martek Biosciences Corporation.
Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. [HOUSTON] (NYSE: FET) announced that D. Lyle Williams, Jr. will be the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. effective July 10, 2020. Williams joined Forum in 2007 after previously working for Cameron International. He most recently served as Forum’s Senior Vice President, Operations.
Motorola Solutions, Inc. [CHICAGO] (NYSE: MSI) announced that Jason Winkler has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer. Winkler succeeds Gino Bonanotte, who has decided to retire from Motorola Solutions on December 31, 2020. Winkler has over 19 years of experience with the company. He most recently served as senior vice president leading finance for the products and sales group. Winkler has also held a number of key financial leadership roles within the company, including finance lead for global sales and services, finance lead for North America, chief of staff to the chairman and CEO and senior director of investor relations.
Smarsh [PORTLAND, OR] announced the addition of Barry Allen as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Allen previously served as the CFO of Jama Software. Prior to joining Jama, Allen served at Corbis, where he held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer.
ITT Inc. [WHITE PLAINS, NY] (NYSE: ITT) announced that Emmanuel Caprais will succeed Thomas Scalera as Chief Financial Officer on October 1, 2020, as part of the Company’s planned transition process. Emmanuel is currently Group CFO in charge of the Business Unit Finance teams, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Investor Relations. Caprais joined ITT in 2012 as segment CFO for Motion Technologies, and assumed the same role for the Industrial Process segment in 2017. He was named Group CFO in March of this year in addition to leading the Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations functions for ITT. Prior to joining ITT, Emmanuel held finance leadership roles at Magneti Marelli, and at Valeo in Europe and North America.
BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. [SAN RAFAEL, CA] (NASDAQ: BMRN) announced the promotion of Brian R. Mueller to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mueller had been serving as Senior Vice President, Acting CFO since February this year. Mueller has been with BioMarin since December 2002. Prior to being Senior Vice President, Acting CFO, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer and as Group Vice President, Corporate Controller. Before joining BioMarin, Mueller worked for KPMG as a senior manager in the firm’s audit practice. Mueller joined KPMG after Arthur Andersen LLP ceased operations in June 2002, prior to which he spent seven years with Arthur Andersen LLP in the firm’s audit and business advisory services practice. From June 2014 to May 2020, Mueller was a member of the board of directors of Anthera Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a previously public biopharmaceutical company, where he also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Siren Care [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Philip Preuss as Chief Financial Officer. Preuss spent the past 12 years at Avinger, where he most recently held the Vice President of Marketing and Business Operations position.
Kyowa Kirin USA Holdings, Inc. [PRINCETON, NJ], an affiliate of Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd. (TSE: 4151) named Ana Bastiani-Posner as its Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Bastiani-Posner led the finance and IT functions as Senior Vice President, Finance Administration at the New York Genome Center, Inc. Prior to this, Bastiani-Posner held leadership roles in finance at several large pharmaceutical companies, including Allergan, Novartis and Schering Plough. Bastiani-Posner succeeds Takeshi Masuda, who will continue to support the organization as part of the Company’s Corporate Strategy and Planning Department.
Vireo Health International, Inc. [MINNEAPOLIS] (CNSX: VREO; OTCQX: VREOF) announced that John Heller has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”). Heller joins Vireo after serving as Chief Financial Officer of Lift Brands since 2016. He also recently held senior executive positions at Life Time Fitness. Heller’s appointment replaces Shaun Nugent, who has accepted a new role at a company outside of the cannabis industry.
Radiant Ventures, Inc. [SANTA ROSA, CA] announced the hiring of Virender Ahluwalia as Chief Financial Officer. Ahluwalia brings decades of executive financial leadership experience with companies including Shutterfly, Singularity, Vintners, Rafter, iLogistix and most recently, Coastal.
Aurora Spine Corporation [CARLSBAD, CA] (TSX-V: ASG) announced the promotion of Chad Clouse to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Clouse has served as the company’s Accounting Manager since 2019. Former CFO Jana Kiena resigned from the Company.
CTO Realty Growth, Inc. [DAYTONA BEACH, FL] (NYSE American: CTO) announced that its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mark E. Patten, is leaving the Company to join a publicly-traded REIT as its Chief Financial Officer.
Akari Therapeutics Plc [NEW YORK and LONDON] (NASDAQ: AKTX) announced the appointment of Torsten Hombeck, Ph.D., as Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Hombeck’s previous positions include Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer and Managing Director at Promethera Biosciences, and Co-Chief Executive Officer and Chief Business Officer at Cytonet where he played an integral role in its acquisition by Promethera in 2016. Dr. Hombeck also served as Chief Financial Officer at both Agennix and GPC Biotech.
Sarepta Therapeutics, Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: SRPT) announced the retirement of Sandy Mahatme, Sarepta’s executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief business officer, from the company effective July 10, 2020.
Unqork [NEW YORK] announced the hire of its first Chief Financial Officer, Dan Murphy. Murphy previously served as CFO and COO for Namely, and spent nearly seven years as CFO for LivePerson. Prior to that, he served as CFO for the SEO platform, Conductor, Inc.
Pinnacle Dermatology [LOMBARD, IL] announced that Judson Larson has joined as Chief Financial Officer. Larson last served as Chief Financial Officer of Omni Ophthalmic Management Consultants (OOMC). Prior to joining OOMC, Larson held various senior financial positions in healthcare, insurance, technology, and manufacturing.
Crocker Partners [BOCA RATON, FL] announced that Todd Amara, who has been the Company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2005, has retired. As part of a planned transition, the Company promoted Jeremy Beer to succeed Amara as CFO. Beer previously served as the firm’s Director of Finance and has been with the company for almost 25 years.
The Coretec Group, Inc. [ANN ARBOR, MI] (OTC PINK: CRTG) announced it has appointed Matthew Hoffman as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Hoffman will transition from his existing role as Director of Finance to CFO, taking the place of Ronald W. Robinson who will be retiring from his position as Coretec’s CFO. Hoffman was appointed as Coretec’s Director of Finance in May 2020. Before joining The Coretec Group, he was the CFO of MI Bioresearch and Executive Director of Finance at Covance, Inc.
RF Industries [SAN DIEGO, CA] (NASDAQ: RFIL) announced that Mark Turfler will be stepping down as CFO, a position he has held since January 2014. Peter Yin, RF Industries Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations, has been appointed interim Chief Financial Officer. Yin joined RF Industries in September 2014 as Corporate Controller and was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations in November 2019. He previously worked at Sony Corporation of America in Corporate Audit and at Grant Thornton in the Assurance practice.
Mechanical Technology, Incorporated (MTI) [ALBANY, NY] (OTC Pink: MKTY) announced the appointment of Jessica Thomas as Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Rick Jones, who had served as the Company’s CFO since 2009, will continue in his current role as President and Chief Executive Officer of MTI.
14th Round Inc. [LOS ANGELES] announced that Paul Bozoki has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer. Bozoki began his career at Ernst & Young, and most recently served as CFO for Desert Lion Energy Inc., Euclides Technologies Inc., and Acasta Enterprises Inc.
HealthEquity, Inc. [DRAPER, UT] (NASDAQ: HQY) announced that Tyson Murdock has been appointed Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and will succeed Darcy Mott as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) April 1, 2021. Murdock joined HealthEquity in 2018 as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller. Prior to joining HealthEquity, Murdock served as divisional CFO for eBay and Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP.
